Bar Gigi is a tiny little place with lots of energy. It’s loud, the music is loud and it’s hard to hear your company. I’m not that old but I appreciate being able to hear the company I’m with! It gave the place energy but it’s something to consider when booking. There are 6-7 tables. It’s cute, busy, and the food is the best I’ve encountered in a long time! It’s sharing style, so you get to enjoy lots of menu items. I will book again, but make sure I’m with someone who doesn’t wear hearing aids! I’m curious about how it’ll fare during the winter when the door opens to -20 and surrounds the patrons with blasts of cold air. I’ll be back for the food most importantly. Delicious

Bar Gigi, was a lovely intimate food experience! The service was fantastic - the two servers were attentive, approachable and provided added helpful descriptions of the food served. The food itself was delicate, rich, flavourful and absolutely delicious - the ravioli sheet with taber corn was my favourite! We ordered 5 dishes and dessert, which was the perfect amount for 2 people.

The value factor is not present, at all. Service was fine, hype is substantial. We will not go back, nor recommend.

I had an enjoyable time at Bar Gigi. I went with my friend for a night out. The food was good, but I thought some of the portion sizes would be much bigger for the price.

Best meal in Calgary...? We think so now. Truly an extraordinary experience right from the start. The service staff makes you feel welcomed and taken care of the entire time you are there. With a smaller menu you may wonder sometimes, but everything lived up to the hype and more. The prawn toast rivals the famous Cheese Toast from Major Tom and I think even takes the top spot. The cabbage skewer was such a unique and light dish that was wonderful on the palette. Both pastas are a must. The flavour profiles on both dishes reminds you of Italy in such a fun and exciting way. All in all, 100/10. Incredible.

The menu focuses on an interesting selection of sharing plates. The two of us shared 4 dishes plus a dessert. All of these were delightful and expertly prepared with an emphasis on quality over quantity. The serving staff were also great - efficient and personable. WIth just seven small tables, this is an intimate dining experience (but the music was a little loud for me).

This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a while! Food was outstanding and staff were great! Very cozy environment, but tons of energy. Definitely will be back

Have been waiting a while to be able to get a booking here as I have been seeing reviews on Instagram, and everything looked amazing. They also made En Route magazine's best new restaurant long list and so I knew I had to come in. Both my friend and I were blown away by how amazing the food was, it definitely lived up to and surpassed the hype! Will definitely be back again!
