A keen interest in Bauhaus and Constructivism, a reverence for industry and design, all inspiration for a restaurant that contemplates and considers, bringing something new to something past. Akiva Elstein and Matthew Abramcyk have created an environment where soft lights envelope aging materials, from walls wrapped in molded plaster to a bar and doors fabricated from centuries-old wood, even to a turn-of–the-century elevator cabin. Great service. Recognized us from prior visit. A good spot for midtown drinks after work.

Website states they close at 11 PM, so we made a reservation for 9 PM, planning to have a few drinks and snacks. When we sat down, staff informed us that they actually close at 9:30 PM on Mondays as they're just reopening and assessing how busy Mondays get. While this is completely understandable, it's important that this information is clearly stated on the website, or that reservations aren't accepted so close to closing time.

This was a disappointment. Service was slow despite an empty restaurant. They charge $10 for mediocre bread, their meatballs were dry with an odd sauce not properly described in the menu, the salad dressing was very salty, and the potatoes bravas were bathed in sauce.
