Must go to place for vegans in Dublin. Great food and service.
I recently visited your restaurant with my sister as a treat, we were in Dublin for the weekend and a vegan restaurant is not easy to find let alone a fabulous one !!!
I t had been recommended by friends and family and have to say lived up to expectations. The surroundings were indeed rustic but the food was just the best. The flavours of everything were just divine.
Couldnt decide which dish to choose so we both chose different and shared the lot..mmmmm...
Couldnt manage a dessert so we took it away with us and had with a coffee the next afternoon. Delish..
The staff were helpful and friendly and knew the menu.
Brilliant... will def be back next time we are in Dublin...(If we can get a table) Always a good sign..
Beautiful food and amazing that it is all cruelty free. A really creative menu and a gem to have in Dublin
We specially chose Sova for our first night out in Dublin even though it was a long walk from our hotel and it was well worth it. We both chose the seitan steaks which were great although the texture was nothing like the seitan we are used to - more like a very firm burger. Accompanying veg was good although the tiny patty of potato should have been twice the size. Wine was expensive but good. The only negative was that it was so hot in the upstairs room - especially as the a/c was not working.
As a non-Vegan, i was meeting a candidate of mine for lunch. Have to say the Kebab tasted great, not sure what substitute they used but it had good texture and not what i expected. I will go again and the portions are a great value.
This was such a great find while on holiday. Loved the food! And the service was friendly and inviting. Really spectacular vegan food.
Food is amazing, service very slow. We waited 1 hour for starters and another hour for the mains.
My sister's first time here and she loved the food as much as I do and wants to come back. She had the taco and really enjoyed it though I think she'd've preferred my seitán doner kebab, if only because it's more unusual - she's never eaten seitán and loved the tiny bit I allowed her to taste.
The young woman serving our food was so very lovely and friendly and chatty - we were last in the house - and she'd convince anyone to come back and try more dishes on the menu. Not that I need convincing!!
This was our second time at Sova and you did not disappoint. The 4 of us choose different entrees and liked them all. The only disappointment was the kitchen ran out of gnocchi we were however a 9:15p seating. This place presents the food as art both vegan and non vegan will love it!
We booked the restaurant but when we arrived we were given a squizzed table that the waitress had to ask us to get up to get by each time because theyd squeezed in a table for 8 that had no sense, finally we had to ask to move to the table at the stairs which wasn’t comfy but anything was better. It took them a long time to bring the wine, i think theyd forgotten because they had to ask us a couple of times what we had ordered. I ordered the Schnitzel, Mushroom & Potato main. This & 2 wines came to €30 which was more expensive than I expected as the dish was very small. The mushrooms at the bottom of the dish were cooked with broad beans and they were lovely, the potato (miniscule) was nice and the main component, the schnitzel, was completelt tastyless and dry and there was no sauce to help the situation.
I’m not a vegan but my dining partner is. I enjoyed my food immensely and didn’t miss having animal products at all. The servers were kind and prompt. If I were staying in Dublin longer I’d have tried to go again. Highly recommend.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful, the food arrived quickly and was delicious! The menu had changed since I’d last been there and was as interesting and tasty as always!
One of the best meals I've ever had. Staff were great and gave us a free drink when the main was slow to come, which was very much appreciated. The food was absolutely stunning, really something to savour.
Amazing Food, great place to go out for dinner, will be back soon!
Went here with my daughter last Thursday night. As a vegan living in Mayo with limited to no options for eating out this was an absolute treat, vegan heaven! The food was outstanding, the staff friendly and a byob with a €6 corkage makes having wine with your dinner very affordable. Highly recommend to everyone. Next time I visit Dublin I will be hot footing it to Sova Good for my treat! Thank you very much!
Such a great restaurant with a lovely selection of food. The table service was super nice and there was a really nice atmosphere.
One of my favourite places in Dublin. It’s hard to find a restaurant that has such great plant based food and looks after its customers to this standard. Let alone the very good prices. Would recommend to anyone to go. Make sure you book in ahead as it gets very busy :)
I absolutely love Sova Food Vegan Butcher. It's the best restaurant in Dublin, and it is vegan. I bring all my friends and family here and have become a loyal customer. The owner and staff are super friendly, the food is outstanding. You won't get better food anywhere else. The fact that it's vegan is such a bonus as both my husband and I are vegans - but even my carnivore friends love it. Once you taste their food you'll find yourself coming back again and again. The only thing I would change is the volume of the music - it always plays too loud for my taste and it's sometimes hard to have a conversation. However, when you ask they do turn it down, so it's all good.
Really lovely, inventive vegan food. Scallops, chicken, steak... it's a long time since I ordered anything like that! The scallops were cleverly made out of Portabella mushroom stalks! I had the seitan steak with peppercorn sauce – really tasty. The starters and mains were the highlight. The desserts were nice but not outstanding - maybe meringues made with aquafaba or a panna cotta would have added some panache in keeping with the other courses. All in all, good value (25 EU for three courses and BYO). I would recommend going here for a great vegan meal with friends.
Lovely healthy, sophisticated, tasty vegan cuisine.
Amazing tagliatelle pasta!!!
The Service went above and beyond our expectations. The waiters give you your personal space without leaving you wondering if they even noticed you. It's a perfect balance. The FOOD is absolutely gorgeous.. I am not a Vegan by any means but I enjoy good food. Their Vegan Kebab is probably the best Kebab I've ever tasted. Their Smoothies are made from fresh fruits and Vegetables. My favourite is the Kale smoothie. (as sweet as Summer). You gotta check it out.
We loved our meal here, couldn't fault the night! Can't wait to go back again
A great find on our visit to Dublin to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The food was wonderful, I actually couldn’t finish my three courses. The atmosphere was great, then only tiny downside was the noise. There’s no soft furnishings so the noise bounces around. Anyone with a slight hearing impediment would not be able to follow the conversation of their companion, I struggled at times. I would definitely return here though:)
Best vegan restaurant in Dublin. It never fails to impress. However it would be nice if the tables weren’t so on top of each other
Really lovely food and staff as always. They fitted in an extra seat as it was a special occasion for us. They had sold out of my first menu choice but made up a substitute which was gluten free on request. I couldn't actually finish as there was so much on the plate, but believe me I tried!!! I am vegan, my partner is veggie and his Dad is omnivore. Everyone was happy.
Delicious and big portions. My favourite place in Dublin !
Absolutely delicious and incredibly good value considering the attention to detail and presentation of each dish! The Seitan Steak with Pepper Sauce is outstanding.
Would like if they had more of a drink selection apart from just wine but the food more than made up for that. Immediately booked in for next month!
I really, really enjoyed my time at Sova Vegan Butcher. The scallops were especially tasty. I also had the steak, and although it wasn't exactly to my taste the accompaniments were spot on. The staff were really friendly and nothing was a bother at all - especially as we were really late for our booking and they reassured us that it was fine. Love that it's BYOB too!
Going there whenever I can! Adore the food and the art. Staff are always friendly and nice.
Amazingly creative and delicious vegan food. Great amount of choices for a great value and very friendly staff. The only thing I'd change is the music, probably for something a bit more mellow. 100% recommend and will come back, can't wait to try the rest of the dishes :)
Delicious food. I had the Doner Kebab and it tasted amazing!!
Great place with amazing food! I really liked kebab.
Just excellent! Good portions, great tasting food, fresh and reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Looking forward to go again sometime in the near future.
Excellent service, amazing food in a cosy and casual environment.
Excellent vegan cuisine/comfortfood. Had the burger and the rosemary ‘chicken’ roast. Superflavourable! Every bite made me happy like a little kid. Beginning to end. Also mega friendly staff. Thanks for being passionated about the plantbased lifestyle! Obviously one visit wasnt enough so we got back the next day for brunch and had the apple pancakes which were BOMB (that coconut whipped cream you guys!) Would come here again and again aaaand again.
The best vegan food I've ever eaten. It is must taste!! Even though you are not vegan or vegetarian, give it a try, the food is outstanding. Full Irish breakfast and pulled pork burger... it tastes better than normal meat, I swear!
The food, service and everything else was incredible. It's so refreshing to go to a place and avail of everything on the menu.
Main dish was amazing !!! Starter very good but dessert average must say. Anyway my favourite vegan restaurant in Dublin !!!!
We were visiting for the weekend from Dallas, TX and ended up eating here twice. We have really excellent vegan food in Dallas (Spiral Diner is a treasure), and expect a lot from vegan restaurants. This place blew us away. The pulled pork sandwich is the best sandwich I have had anywhere. Wish we could take a few of them home to the states with us. Will definitely be back during our next Dublin visit.
