Was a fan of Amina’s so trying Avana was a no brainer. I drove in from out of state, and was a little disappointed. While the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing, my entree was very basic in taste. I ordered the under the brick Amish chicken. The puree mash lacked flavor, and the gravy was so so. I ended up bringing the entree home, and focused on the appetizers we ordered. The oxtail pizza and deviled eggs were really good. I definitely recommend. Also, the waitress was awesome. I would try it again, with a different entree.

I received 5 star treatment at Avana last night. The place is gorgeous. The staff are very friendly. My food was delightful, well prepared and delicious. I highly recommend it for a girls night out, date night or to win over a client. I can’t wait to return when the weather is nice so that I can enjoy the patio.

The small appetizers scared me a little bit cause of the small portions to share …four small dumplings, and only four little char grilled oysters, but when the main courses came out, I forgot literally all about the portions of the apps ! It was literally appetizing us for the main dinner and it blew me away. Amazing. We got the lamb chops. It’s spicy shrimp Alfredo..

Great food. Great decor and music. It's a vibe. Our server checked on us but not to the point of being annoying. A small issue was rectified to our satisfaction. I would return and suggest that others visit. The appetizers and entees were DELICIOUS! I was too full for dessert. 😊

The atmosphere and service were great. The oysters were ok. Cornbread was delicious. My husband had the tableside spicy fettuccine which we both enjoyed. We were a little disappointed tableside service was not available but we were still able to order it. I liked the Chilean sea bass minus the grits. I would have preferred a vegetable instead.
