Excellent dinner for my 70th Birthday but getting to Cinnamon Kitchen was awful. The postcode on your website was SW11 8AB but this sent us to somewhere in Vauxhall. We took a black cab from Kings Cross & this cost us £40. We gave up with the cab driver as he was driving around Vauxhall in circles.
When we phoned Cinnamon Kitchen they said go to Pestana hotel in Chelsea and walk towards the river. We got to the hotel and had a long walk to the restaurant.
The postcode on Cinnamon Kitchen website must be wrong as the hotels postcode is SW8.
This restaurant is not accessible via taxi and they should state this on the website - very poor customer service.

This is the 5th time I visit this restaurant in last 3 months. My last 4 reviews have been outstanding. However on Saturday something was terribly wrong.
The service was APPALLING. I had visitors from Canada and had raved to them about how amazing Cinnamon Kitchen is, but we were so so disappointed.
We were seated at 9.00. At 9.20 we were given menus, 9.45 by someone finally came to take our order but only took our drinks order. After another 10 minutes our food order was finally in.
We got our starters at 10.20, one of them being the wrong one but having waited that long we just took it. We had to wait until 10.50 for our mains to arrive. There was no delicious amuse bouche like we had the many times we visited before. No one filled up our drinks, our waiter had a runny nose and kept sniffling all through the evening which was very unpleasant.
It really was NOT good.
I hope this was a one off as the food here is super amazing and it is such a shame for things to go so terribly wrong on the service front.

Expected a lot more - service was terrible - food was very basic. I had the korma which consisted of a basic chicken breast that looked like my poor cooking skills and tasteless sauce - a very small portion that looked like it was made for a child for £17? manager was rude and they need more waiters/waitresses. Setting was nice and I liked the aesthetics but disappointed with food and service

I have been a regular visitor at the Cinammon Club's range of restaurants for several years however the experience we had on Saturday evening was appalling. We waited 25 minutes just to order a drink, after over an hour we had only received a couple of our starters and were starving. There were plenty of staff milling around and generally not offering any customer service at all. Staff constantly attempted to clear our plates despite us not having even received half of the food we had ordered. When we got to speak to a member of staff they confirmed there were some delays but our food was 'on the pass', 10 minutes later we spoke to the manager who said the food was 'just on its way', another 10 minutes of waiting after this we left as the whole thing was just awful and we had had enough. We received a very half-hearted apology and left hungry. We were not alone in the experience; not what I had come to expect from this group of restaurants.

Food is fabulous and service is poor! The staff are very polite but need training (e.g. we ordered 2 glasses of Malbec and waitress came with white wine! When we said we ordered Malbec, she said this is it! They tried to give us someone else's starters, I ordered soup for starters and the waiter brought the soup and walked away without giving a spoon! and the list goes on....the restaurant need to match the quality of food with matching service if you need gain good reputation

Booked the 241 offer, highly recommended was the Sea Bass starter on a banana leaf....the chicken tikka main was fine, I believe I have had better and what was a chocolate mousse with cinnamon ice cream would a perfect end to the meal, if the crumb was removed it was be just fine. Overall a nice meal, if the meal was a little hotter and warmer it would have received a quality 4* rating.

It seemed a very long walk from the nearest bus stop, a consideration at our age. I would have liked a larger selection of non-meat meal options, I was expecting an Indian restaurant to score well on this aspect. What we had to eat, we enjoyed but we decided that it was a restaurant that would be good if you happened to be in the area when you felt hungry but not a place to make a special effort to go to.

Extremely disappointed. The restaurant itself was nice but the manager was having an argument with a staff member upon arrival who then proceeded to walk out. We asked if the tasting menu could be all gluten free but they were not willing to accommodate and replace some non GF items with GF items. We then opted for the a la carte menu, the food was nice but it was £25 for a prawn curry which consisted of 4 prawns! During the dinner a further member of staff walked out following a screaming match with the manager and our waitress told us that she also was leaving due to the management. Such a shame as this is a local restaurant which I will not be going back to. Not the experience I had hoped for.

Great food, just as we had on our first trip! Even though we were asked to move to the bar to make way for a large group after our meal, this was made up by the manager giving us a free drink when we moved to the bar. Nice way to end the evening!

Cinnamon Kitchen has a special place in my heart as we go at least once month since the opening with friends or as a couple. we always stop by for a cocktail in the bar when on our way home. We went on Saturday evening for a celebration and were completely let down. The food was mediocre (usually it is very very good). The service was just shocking - Our waiter was extremely rude and completely disengaged. But seemed to be extra friendly to the two couples either side. I hope this wasn't a racial thing I am of black origin. All in all, seeing him be so lovely to everyone but us, was not a very nice experience. I don't think we will be heading back. Such a shame it was one of our favourites.

Great location in the railway arches by Battersea power station. Menu is either a la carte or thoughtful fixed menus including a vegan option. We had a tasting menu which was nicely varied and served in pretty good quantity and at a pace to suit us. The service was very nice and felt personal and the ambiance early in the evening pleasant and suitably quiet. The food is excellent but could be hotter (in temperature). I wish they would think about using warmed plates and serving spoons too. Overall the tasting menu is great value for money and a wonderful introduction to the Cinnamon group of restaurants.

To be honest this isn’t a food rating. We showed up on time to be told our table wouldn’t be available for 20min. After 45min we gave up and weren’t the only ones. This for a table booked an hour in advance. Whilst being there they were still accepting reservations despite not being able to honour them clearly. Had offer of bar seating which we’d booked - they don’t serve dinner at the bar. Shame as we’d been there shortly after opening and the food was ok. But service is truly appalling.

Service was very slow. Not enough staff. Ran out of every wine we ordered .. so seems just have very low stock of wine list.

I went to CK city and had exactly the same problem. Very few staff . Waited 30 mins to get our beers and wine and when we raised it got a comment back - essentially run off those feet ... too few staff for the whole restaurant and only had one bottle of the wine we ordered so again had to switch to something else.

Seems the business model ?

I would not recommend this restaurant due to the overpowering noise. If you are drunk and like to yell at your table of 16 people then great; but not for a two person evening. The starters which we sampled were very mediocre and not worth the money, but the mains were very good and enjoyable. The service was very patchy and disconnected with our need to order. I would return if it was a sunny and warm day and could eat outside and might just order mains. But Hey! There are many more good restaurants in London to choose from. It will not be this one though.

Unfortunately, I came for my sisters birthday and the staff were unhelpful and uninterested. It really took away from the experience. We ordered desserts and they took too long and when asking for recommendations the waiter simply said I don’t know I haven’t eaten it. The food is okay but for the price it would be good to walk away with a happy experience!

Not great. With so many great Indian restaurants in London, I don't see the point of this restaurant. The menu is small, and that wouldn't be a problem if they have at least a decent curry. I understand that Indian cuisine is more than curry but you should expect to see some special varieties at least. I order a "chicken korma" and it was more like a chicken breast fillet on a white sauce that was more like a sweet bechamel. In general, as with many of the new restaurants around the new Battersea power station area, this is a very slick nice looking restaurant with very disappointing and expensive food. Starters were quite good though, nice pork ribs. But in general nothing very special.

Absolutely phenomenal food, we had the 9 course tasting menu and every single dish was made to perfection. It has been about a year since I wrote any reviews on restaurants but this one merits it for sure. If its good, creative indian food you want, as a different option to your average local curry house, this is definitely worth a try.

Arrived early and asked to sit at the table whilst waiting for other guests, not offered drinks or menus without asking. Went for 9 course tasting menu with free cocktail (excellent). Good view of the chefs at work in the kitchen.

Waiters did nothing to “sell” or explain the dishes and I had to ask for the menu card to tell the rest of the table what we were eating. All the food was of very high quality and we especially liked the prawns in curry sauce and lamb parcels will dall.

Bill for 5 with beers was £217 which was great value. Pity the table service slightly lets the chefs down.

This was our second visit to Cinnamon Battersea. Many things made this trip amazing. First our waiter Steve was receptive to my wife and the fact that it was her birthday and wanted to feel special . We had fun yet informative conversations with Steve which made the party of five very comfortable. He allowed use to order from the brunch and dinner menu. The chefs were great and made my wife a panna Cota for her birthday dessert. We wanted to thank the chefs for creating and providing us such a beautiful meal so Steve asked the chef to come out . Well we were blown away by chef Seb Khan who talked us through some of the dishes and some history on the Cinnamon brand. Just as we were about to leave my wife was invited to the kitchen to view the making of a naan by chef Seb .
I had requested that my wife should feel special well the team exceeded that wish as Anita has not stop saying just how special her birthday lunch was.
Many many thanks to you all I look forward to returning soon.
