Service appalling, food very average
One can only conclude very bad management
Terrible food, service and overall experience. Very disappointing.
Lovely waiter , delicious food and peaceful , my girlfriend is a regular there , she took me for the first time.
A shame both fish dishes were not available otherwise great
A lovely restaurant with a good menu. Unfortunately the service was really poor - the waitresses couldn't take a single order without making a mistake. Our cocktails and nibbles came after the starters were brought and the affogato came without the espresso. I will give it another try - meanwhile they might have decided to change their waitresses.
Es una muy buena opción para ir a cenar , lindo ambiente y muy buena atencion y comida. Altamente recomedable.
Our dinner came out at a snails pace. Things that we asked for never arrived and it was an utter disappointment. And because our dinner took so long, there was nothing left for dessert other than ice cream. An utter disappointment.
Very disappointed! Food wasn’t good, steak was chewy poor quality, bass flavorless... not again!
We had brunch which was a nice choice of eggs, avocado, green juices and delicious cappuccino.
Very nice service and nice ambience.
We have enjoyed going to Chucs on previous occasions and the pasta and pizza was always good. Unfortunately this time we were seated next to the serving station (something I have noticed happen more often when using open table), so it was a little noisy. We arrived early but we're told the ravioli was not available. My pasta was a shade too al dente for my liking and the payard was charred a bit too much for my liking. Service was friendly and forthcoming but food left a lot to be desired.
This is such a good restaurant. I love the food and cannot fault the charming service. It has become my favourite neighbourhood restaurant.
Chefs let down by front of house!
I chose Chucs because of the great reviews. 'A Nottinghill food institution!' they said. And it didn't disappoint on that front. The spaghetti with lobster hit all the right spots. However, the lacklustre, inattentive service coupled with the passable wine choice that came with a sneaky/surprise £70 price tag meant we had no option but to skip out of the venue uttering 'fc-uk you very much'. Such a shame as the nosh and the intimate, Amalfi Coast-esque decor promised so much.
Outstanding pasta, good size portions. Staff were so helpful and friendly
Excellent as always. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the food always delicious. We come often and they are also fantastic with accommodating children.
Fabulous food and charming service. Can’t wait to go back.
We had a good time as you can have a chat and it’s very quiet but, the no air conditioning was aweful it was so hot, which ruined the night
My pasta dish was served cold and tasted awful. I was definitely served something that was lying around for a while. Pasta should always be cooked fresh. Having complained about it nothing was done and then staff were even rude.
Worst restaurant I have been too in a long time. The other dishes were average and that's me being generous. They allow dogs in there too.
Monday evening... so not full with customers. Very good service with friendly staff. It is a bit pricey but the food is of a high standard and the portions are adequate. Would have liked to have seen more choice in the dessert menu, but obviously that is not there thing or perhaps it is unnecessary in this weather. The ambience was good - you could hear yourself speak without having to raise your voice - which was a refreshing change. Adequate room between tables - which allows you to feel more comfortable.
All in all a really nice dining experience for a special occasion.
Would I go back -- YES .
Food was ok Ingredients really good
Hostess very attentive
Pizza Bianca with black truffle was the best
Delicious Italian food and great wine. Lovely decor. Friendly staff.
Good service and nice relaxed atmosphere but food was average and not good value for money
Beautiful garden setting, smiley and friendly service. Fabulous food and nice little extras thrown in before the meal and after such as radishes on ice, bite sized ice cream, nice touch!!!
Very poor pasta- stringy. Bolognese tasted like it was from a can. Place has no real Italian ambience. The pre-starter of olives, nuts and cheese was the best part of the dinner. I’ve never been so disappointed.
We had to wait a long time before receiving the food. A shame because everything else was perfect.
Wonderful ambience. Very chic in a relaxed way. Delicious food and incredibly attentive staff. Little extras like parmesan and walnuts and olives to start as well as mini ice cream bars for petit fours were beer welcome. Definitely will go back
Place where we go and come back . Outstanding service , great food .
Great food quality, good value for money, very nice decoration.
Nice spot in a quiet a pleasant area. Good food at an affordable price
Lovely setting and great for brunch or casual dinner. A bit tough with a pram as multi level with steps making it hard to exit if the kids are not quiet, but the staff was super helpful. I would go again, but without children.
Really nice - although we rushed a little as the manageress told us we’d have to vacate our garden table by 2.30. At 2.30 the restaurant and garden were not busy and we could have relaxed a little more.
Obscenely expensive for mediocre food in a dark basement with scatterbrained service
Great place. Beautiful terrace
The staff were simply terrific as was the food & service. Perfect :)
Food good. Nice waiters but SLOW. Very NOISY and expensive
We had a great evening, Chucs has such a wonderful atmosphere. We had a table of four, and could hear ourselves speak at normal conversation level which is so rare in London restaurants! Italian run and Italian food. All the classics, well executed. We also really appreciated the Italian design and wanted to buy everything from the red lacquered table top to the blue rimmed glasses and portable table light! A bottle of prosecco is £40 which is a bit steep, but during the week they do special offers / happy hour. We will be going back.
I have been to Chucs many times for lunch and dinner in their NH and Mayfair branches and it has always been a great experience. However this occasion was for breakfast which was very under whelming. The very small portion of smoked salmon and eggs came on one slice of regular white sliced loaf bread and I was still hungry after. Would recommend for lunch and dinner but their breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.
It’s a lovely place to socialise with a friend as it’s not too noisy and the menu offers various healthy options. A great lunch place for sure!
Service was painfully slow on a Sunday night. It took us more than 2 hours to have 2 courses. In between we were desperately trying to flag down different waiters for water and wine refills - and to ask if our food might be coming soon. We won’t be going back there.
Great cosy Italian, the service was very slow the starters were superb but mains were average
