    Excellent food, you can appreciate the art of cooking great French cuisine. And the drink pairings were also sensational.

    Food, drinks and service excellent. Very efficient. Sometimes too much so that we could’ve felt a little rushed. I like to be able to finish my cocktail before the entree arrives. I realize some might feel differently. The staff choreographs things very well in that a number of staff serve, clear and take orders. They did well catering to my no gluten preference. We were visiting Cville and will return if we ever come back this way.

    Chef de Brito is a national treasure, and under his supervision Fleurie has become the finest restaurant in Central Virginia. The occasion was a wedding anniversary plus two birthdays, and the kitchen was up to the challenges. Just a dazzling evening.

    Our son goes to University of Virginia. Every time we visit, we treat him (and ourselves) to Fleurie. It's always a lovely meal in a warm welcoming atmosphere!

    We went to Fleurie for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. It's not a place we can afford often. However, everything was outstanding, from the servers, to the food, and the ambiance. Our menu even said Happy Anniversary. It's a 3-course prix fixed dinner. However, they bring lots of extras: focaccia, canapes, an amuse-bouche, a shot of chilled soup, a shot of a sorbet, and after our chosen dessert, a plate with 3 bite-sized desserts for each of us. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The only negative was that they were out of my first choice entree (duck). So, I think the amount and quality of the food was worth it. I'm not sure I would get the wine pairing again, though the wines were great and the pours were generous; it still seemed a bit pricey. But overall it was a fabulous choice for our anniversary dinner, and I'm very happy we went there after wanting to for many years.

    Fleurie suffers from delusions of grandeur. Most of the food was good but nothing stood out as more than that. A couple of the small bites they bring between courses were definite misses. A key problem seems to be that the chef believes unusual combinations automatically make food better and that is far from the case. At these prices, one expects a better finished product. One also expects attentive service, particularly is such a small restaurant. At 2/3 the price, it probably would have gotten an extra star.

    Wonderful restaurant with a wonderful menu. Unfortunately, the night that we chose to go there was a celebrity guest there with a friend so all of the attention was on the celebrity and it ended up taking us 2 1/2 hours to get in and out of our meal. Other than that, the food is absolutely worth the visit. The chef is phenomenal and French cuisine that is presented at this level is very hard to find in Virginia.

    We had a lovely dining experience for our anniversary with an attentive staff ensuring a great experience along with delicious food and wine. Really appreciated the pacing of the meal, never feeling rushed but like we were on a culinary journey. Would happily return when we are ever back in town!
