Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
NADU in Phoenix offers a vibrant dining experience with "authentic regional food" that delights with "flavorful and imaginative" dishes. Guests praise the "exceptional service" and "stunning ambience". Standout dishes include the paneer appetizer, dungeoness crab, and eggplant appetizer. While a few service issues need improvement, the overall experience is memorable and "worth the hype".

Ot took us a long time to get our food but man was it worth the wait!!! Every flavor was so perfectly done and so unique. Ao fun to try all the different types of Indian food- definitely not anything like takeout Indian… still so warm and comforting but with really layered flavors! We will be back again for sure!

A lovely new Indian restaurant at Desert Ridge. The food was very good--some interesting new dishes we hadn't seen before. The naan was exceptional! Very light and absolutely delicious. Our waiter, David, was very friendly and efficient. Quite a nice dinner!

The food was tastey, fresh, and represented a range of Indian cuisine, the whole experience was not up to the "upscale" advertizing. Our table was not private and we had to wait too long for each of our items, finally asking a manager for the check.

Our experience was very disapppointing The menu had too many items which seemed to challange us and anyone else near us. We ordered a bottle of wine and asked for two glasses as there were two of us and the wine arrived poured in 2 glasses and half a bottle. The starters arrived about 20 minutes + after ordering them and with that arrival we ordered 2 main dishes do to the time lag and they arrived in about 10 minutes Starters weren't finished.

This was a disappointing anniversary dinner, especially because several issues compounded throughout the evening. Our original table was extremely uncomfortable. It was positioned so close to the bar seating that we had to get out of our chairs so other guests could get out of theirs. The table and chairs were both very low, the chairs had no back support, and the large center table leg made it difficult to sit comfortably. To be fair, the host did ask whether the table was okay when we were seated, and I tentatively said maybe. Once we actually sat down and realized how uncomfortable it was, we asked the next staff member if we could take them up on the offer of another table. We were told we could not move, despite seeing other available seating and several openings at the bar. After three requests and about 45 minutes waiting for our appetizer, we were eventually moved. Unfortunately, the service issues continued. Our dinner order was lost and had to be remade, which added another delay. The food was a little sweeter than we prefer, but overall it was good once it finally arrived. The music was also much too loud for the space. It was difficult to hear each other, which was particularly disappointing for an anniversary dinner. The manager, Pedro, did stop by our new table once, although he did not introduce himself as the manager until the end of our meal. I appreciated that he ultimately spoke with us, and I honestly wish our experience had started with him. His approach made me feel that the evening might have gone very differently had he been involved earlier. Overall, the food was good, but the uncomfortable seating, difficulty moving tables, long waits, lost dinner order, and noise level made what was supposed to be a special anniversary dinner much more stressful than enjoyable.

The only thing I would make other patrons aware of would be the mutton. Flavor was fantastic but more small bones and bone chips than a fish. Otherwise, service was great.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Walter! We are glad you enjoyed the great service and fantastic flavors, but we appreciate your note regarding the mutton prep. We will pass your observations along to our kitchen team as we continue refining our dishes. Best, The Team at NADU

This establishment has received excessive praise. The pricing structure does not align with individual preferences. It is advisable to maintain a nominal pricing policy that reflects the customers’ tastes.

While ambience was good , food and service were below average. Hope they improve on service as they take lot of time in serving dishes. May be they are just opened and will need time to improvise. They don’t have good desert options .
    NADU - PhoenixResponded on 4 September 2026
Thank you for visiting us, thakur. We are glad you appreciated our atmosphere, but we take note of your experience regarding slow service timing and dessert variety. Please connect with us at manager @naduphoenix.com so we can address your visit directly. Best, The Team at NADU
