It has closed, so no I am unlikely to recommend to a friend. Even one who isn't really a friend and I secretly don't like very much. That wouldn't be nice.

Made a booking on OpenTable to go for dinner for a friend's birthday. Turned up at the restaurant and they were closed. They accepted my reservation but could not even bother to inform me that they were not open on Saturday night. Pathetic service!

Great food and service. A few items not available on the menu which at 8pm on a Thursday was a bit odd...and they said that they didn’t take reservations (so weren’t expecting us), but the food was great and the service spot on. Great place but appears to be a disconnect somewhere....maybe call them to confirm the arrangement or take them off your system? I wouldn’t have gone with my 3 kids for a birthday meal if I didn’t know I could reserve a table.

The pub was very short staffed due to a sick staff member but the two guys really worked their butts off to make sure all our orders and drinks were taken, ordered and delivered timely. Great customer service.

I booked a table for 6 for a Sunday roast couple of weeks back. Staff extremely attentive and friendly, food amazing and portions of extra size! There were 3 children with us and we all enjoyed the lunch. Place to recomend and definitely to come back!

Four of us ate here on Friday night. The service started well, but by the end of the night it felt like we had been totally forgotten about. Some wines had sold out, on an already fairly limited menu. Starters were great, but the steak we had for main was chewy and lacked flavour - we had the sirloin and the special chateaubriand. No one checked on our food so no opportunity to put right. Ambience however was great, great music. Such a shame the steaks were lacking. Won’t be back for food, will probably be back for drinks.

Really nice visit again. Food is superb and they have good vine list too. Wide range of beers and also have cider in the selection, very good ! Service was excellent again. I have to say that the restaurant was busy ( Thursday eve ) and only ONE person ( Ruth I believe, and she did well ) was looking after all tables, and one person behind the bar? This has to be looked into as our food even came before our cocktails. Despite this, we’ll be back as overall experience has always been really nice. Maybe we pay a visit next time at the weekend for Six nations.

Came for my boyfriends birthday and wasn’t disappointed. We shared starters, the sausage rolls were particularly nice ! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and we loved the broccoli. The service was excellent !

This is an unapologetic meat restaurant and in fact to be more specific it is steak or burgers. However the quality of the beef is superb above average for most pubs. The sides were also good. It also specialises in beers but I don't drink beer. The staff were good and attentive. It is a good addition to the neighbourhood.

We had a really great lunch at Beef & Brew on Sunday. We were a group of 6 adults and one toddler, and I was a little worried beforehand as we had 3 vegetarians in the group, but everyone thought the food was really delicious, there were lots of vegetarian options, and for the meat eaters the roast dinner was excellent! I have to also say the service was really great, super friendly and helpful - we all had a really lovely afternoon.

We were visiting London from the US and wanted a traditional Sunday Roast lunch. We read about Beef and Brew on Londonist and were very happy. Two of us had the beef roast and the kids had burgers. The food was absolutely delicious! The Yorkshire pudding was yummy and the roast was cooked to perfection. The burgers were delightful! We loved the cool vibe and the waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend!

Visited early on a Friday evening and had their £10 deal that you can get between 6pm and 7pm. Steak and chips and burger and chips for £20! Excellent value and great quality tasty food. Very good beer selection as well.

A nice little laid-back restaurant, our servers were friendly and chatty, and all the food was great. We had a 300g hanger steak that was delicious, and a sirloin that was lovely and moist, really well cooked. Prices are reasonable, definitely one to recommend.

A great meal. The starters were excellent, both the brisket nuggets and the squid, and we shared a wing rib from the specials board and a sort of gravy covered not-quite-poutine. Most satisfying! The selection of beers was really interesting, and the service was friendly. Overall a lovely time, would recommend.

The ambience and style of Beef & Brew is excellent - upscale casual that feels a bit fancy but is still comfortable. Everything else was unfortunately a let down. The starters sounded fantastic - we went for the brisket jam bites and the miso roasted aubergine - but they were under-seasoned and underwhelming. Breading and deep frying brisket doesn't really do anything to enhance it, especially when it was as poorly cooked as this one. The main event - the steak, was cooked rare exactly to our taste, though it was a lot less meat than we were expecting. They must weigh and charge for the bone. It was well seasoned and tasty, but nothing exceptional. We had a bottle of merlot with it, which was simple and a good pairing. Our server was very pleasant, but completely overworked as she was taking care of the entire full restaurant by herself. Overall it was a decent meal, but I wouldn't bother returning. I'm not sure how it got listed as one of the best steak places in London.

This was my usual go away pub. I loved the steak and the service. They have just recently changed the name and admin. Service last Sunday was not great. I booked the table in advance and anyway I had to wait like 15 min to get a booked table. The meat was overdone and when I claimed they seem to have a different method for cooking meat on Sundays than on the other days of the week. They messed up as I ordered a medium well steak and came a well done.

Amazing skirt steak cut and cooked beautifully, delicious broccoli, outstanding beefy croquettes, well kept beer. Friendly service but The owner greeted us oddly - is booked for 6 people, and he made an ish of us bringing 7. The web wouldn’t allow us to book for 7, but I had sent an email.

Excited to try this restaurant, but couldn't help but be a little disappointed. Midweek booking for dinner and it was quiet when we entered, we were quickly welcomed and shown to our seat. The waiters were all helpful and the food was very good with the steak being of above average quality and the sides (whilst a little expensive for veg) were all delicious. We had the chips, cheese and gravey; the brocolli and the aubergine. For two of us this was a bit of an overkill and two sides would have been more than fine. I was a bit disappointed that one of the main offerings from their menu the Galician steak was not available, nor the ribeye. We were offered alternatives but if you liked the fattier cuts of meat you would have been (like us) disappointed. As for the beer, for a place that has the word "brew" in its name I found the beer list a bit lacklustre. I had presumed (apparently wrongly so) that this would be a place to try new and different beers. Sadly of the 10 or so on the menu (draft and bottled) most were ones I commonly see around. All in, whilst everything was beyond good it wasnt necessarily worth the £40 a head for a main and one beer each. I would say if you are in the area it would be good to visit, but I wouldn't head there especially.

Excellent steaks and burgers, good wine + craft beer selection, super friendly service, quiet and welcoming atmosphere and fair prices. As a plus, if you drive there in the weekend, you can park almost in front of it at street level for free.
