We had a great experience at Barcocina Chicago! Tony was our server and was great, very attentive, knowledgeable, and gave good recommendations. We came at the start of happy hour, so we got to sample several appetizers at a great price. We tried the guacamole, brisket wontons, and elotes. The elotes were my favorite and reminded me of the street corn I grew up eating when vendors would come through the neighborhood. We also tried the barbacoa brisket, mahi mahi, and steak tacos, along with the hanger steak and charcoal-fired shrimp. Everything was flavorful and well-seasoned. The hanger steak with the cachurreira sauce was especially delicious, had to ask for extra sauce. The restaurant is spacious with a nice outdoor area, plus a private section with large barn-style doors that would be great for groups. Great food, service, and atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

This was my first time here for Taco Tuesday. It was such an amazing experience, the tacos just kept coming and the quality was so good! The marg flight was a nice touch but I could’ve done without it so ai could fit more tacos in my belly. Our server was very sweet and made sure we always had tacos coming to the table. My favorite taco is still the Greek chicken but the bang bang shrimp is a close second (they do not skimp on the shrimp). We also arrived and it was still HH so I got an order of the amazing barbacoa dumplings. Overall it was the perfect experience.

We did see a rat inside as we finished our meal. We notified the host. The food is just ok for the money. The service was 10/10.

Great experience! Our server was incredible and food and drinks were delicious. Only thing to note is sitting outside is quite loud becuase of the nearby train.

The Taco Tuesday special is a great value. Server (Kaley, I think) was nice and attentive. The tacos could come out in waves that could be more consistent but overall a great option.
