Food beautifully presented but were given only the tasting menu with no other choice. It seemed that much was pre-prepared which is why that was the only option. No member of staff enquired as to why we had chosen to eat at Sola… which I found quite strange. I suppose the Gay Pride celebrations in the street outside meant the restaurant was pretty much empty which made it seem lacking in atmosphere for a Saturday night. It also felt as though the staff couldn’t wait for us to leave… the food was brought up and served before we had even had a sip of champagne, with little rest between courses. It felt rushed. This was supposed to be a real treat for a birthday celebration.. we will remember the occasion for the unusual and interesting food but wouldn’t be rushing back.

Wonderful restaurant, highest quality food, so clever and delicious. Very inventive, beautifully presented. The only negative (a minor one) was we weren’t able to order coffee after dessert as there was a problem with the machine. Highly recommend regardless and intend to return soon

We had a wonderful time at SoLa. The evening was spectacular. The food was beautiful with amazing attention to detail. The service was faultless with the whole team being friendly and efficient. The sommelier introduced the wines and created the flow of the evening and went out of his way to make the evening even more memorable. This was my Grandson's first tasting menu and SoLa could not have provided a better experience for him. It will be difficult for any restaurant in the future to live up to this experience. Every little touch was well thought out and brilliantly executed. We are still talking about so many elements of it (particularly the suckling pig and the salmon roulade) and will be for a long time. Thank you for creating such a special evening for us all.

Very good food and service. Particular highlights to the langoustine, iberico, prawn, and chocolate. Beautiful presentation, worthy of its 1 Michelin star. Thanks for also making my wife really enjoy her birthday with special touches. However, appallingly small portion sizes. And no bread on offer which makes it worse. We’re not gluttons but would have expected more for an expensive tasting menu and left hungry! Completely empty on a Friday lunch so might reflect the lack of value. Good to go once but definitely won’t return.
