Clyde's of Georgetown
Amazing experience. Food and and drinks were fantastic. Would definitely recommend
I visited Clyde’s for restaurant week. I initially ordered the steak frites and it was delivered cold. They gladly replaced it with the salmon with corner fritters which I brought home because my guest was also finished with her dinner. The calamari and zucchini chips were excellent although my guest thought were too salty.
As always we can depend on a great meal with great service at Clydes-a favorite Georgetown restaurant!!
Perfect, as always.
Went to the Georgetown Clyde's for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I was jonesing for a cheeseburger and fries, and the Clyde's Group have the best burger in town, hands down. My wife had the Grilled Chicken Salad and was surprised by how much chicken was on it for a lunch serving (a lot). Clyde's Georgetown is a fun location to enjoy a good meal with friends.
Amazing atmosphere, and the menu was incredible. Staff were really friendly and the beer was great! Would definitely go back there next time we’re in DC.
Great food, friendly staff, good location. Highly recommended.
Great food, Scallops for dinner perfectly caramelized and the Crab Tower appetizer very flavorful and refreshing! Upbeat charming atmosphere - with super personable, professional and caring service! A delightful and delicious experience. The only surprise is that the desserts were a bit humdrum and not quite on par with the more creative and flavorful entrees and appetizers - as if the deserts were maybe not made in house? Still 5 stars as fabulous overall!
Very upset with the service. Food was decent/good.
Seated right away. Got water right away. Orders taken as soon as we were ready. Food came in reasonable time and was good.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service, good prices.
Food was wonderful… Service was better
Great food & service
Average food, diasappointing
Food flavors were all very good and the sandwiches were prepared just as ordered. Everything we ate was very tasty and the service was outstanding. I will go there next time I am in Georgetown.
Always pleasant and gratifying.
Excellent food, service and value! Family friendly menu and atmosphere.
Just ok. Loud, server wasn’t attentive and the food was sub par
This is a very comfortable place for dinner
The service was well timed, and friendly. The menu has something for everyone.
Food and service were quite good. A/C was cranked way too high.
Really lovely meal with my wife and kids. Food was amazing and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
It was a good place for dinner. Service was just OK. Food was good. Not sure it's a "must go to place" but the food was good if you don't mind a little slower service.
Very Nice, but noisy
A really lovely restaurant. Food and service were excellent - we will definitely return when next in DC.
Came in from the scorching heat a few minutes before our reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. My favorite thing about it may very well be that the air conditioning worked like a champ and they had water on the table for us weary walkers!!
The service was great - a little slow in the drink refills, but we had the water, so it was fine.
The food was good. Burger slightly over cooked but it was hearty and tasty.
Clyde’s is reliably good, so this is a go to spot whenever we need it! Thank you!
attend for my mom’s Birthday.
We had a really excellent dinner here. Our table collectively ordered scallops, New York strip steak, crab dip, brownie sundae, and peach cobbler. Everything was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed the meal. The only thing I would say about this place is that the table and chairs in the area we said and we’re not real substantial. It wasn’t the most comfortable seat. By the time we finished the first bottle of wine, we didn’t really notice LOL
Our server was really great, no complaints there. Our server was really great, no complaints there. We would love to come back someday
We have brought several family members here when they come visit us. Each time is excellent food and service. We feel like it’s a really busy, delicious restaurant that doesn’t gouge their patrons. We love Clyde’s and their consistently great service and food will bring us back again and again.
Service a x food were outstanding. Would highly recommend.
Arrived, got sat. They took our drink order and it took 20 min to get our iced teas. Our appetizer of the crab and artichoke dip came out right away, it was hot but the taste was average. As for main entree my wife ordered a chicken Caesar Salad and a crab cake sandwich. The actual sandwich was very good. However it took 50 min from the time we put in our dinner order for a sandwich and salad to be prepared and brought out. The waitress came over and kept saying they messed up making the Caesar salad.... and 15 min later said they’re playing it. Our food did come out at right temperature but it was an extremely long wait. No manager or anyone came to apologize. Underwhelming dining experience
We have eaten here before and I have to say we have had better meals. The salmon was a little dry the night we went. But the peach cobbler was delicious.
Have been there twice now based on ranking by TripAdvisor. Both times, have taken my teenage kids while doing DC and college tours. Both times have ordered the Crab Tower and Mussel starters as both are absolutely delicious. Each time leave wanting to replicate the mussel recipe at home. Highly recommend. I only did 4 stars simply because our waiter seemed to be slightly bothered by the fact that we weren't ordering cocktails and were only eating starters. That said, we will be back again next time we're in Georgetown!
Went to Clyde's with by two adult children and my wife for her birthday. I had not been to Clyde's in years, but remembered it to be a classic Georgetown experience. It did not disappoint. We enjoyed the white table cloth and comfortable booth in the bar. The food was very good and the atmosphere was comfortable and lively. Our waiter Alex was courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. We had a fabulous dinner and good fun. I highly recommend for the food and atmosphere.
Sit in the bar area not in the back room
Loved our time at Clyde’s, we enjoyed the cheese platter and the crab dip. For our main meals we had the scallops, roasted chicken and the hanger steaks. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Our waitress was excellent and made our experience at Clyde’s exceptional. We enjoyed our meals and our interactions with her!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Clyde's. We were seated right away and the hostess was very friendly and chatted with us until our server came to the table to greet us. The service was fantastic as was the food.
Excellent ribs. Delicious sauce, fall off the bone tender. Hope this item stays on the menu for a while.
Ramin was his normal stellar self as bartender/server. Knows the menu very well, knows pairing well, for both wine and beer. First rate, top notch barman. There's a reason he has such a following as a barman at Clyde's, with many of his former customers from the Tombs coming to Clyde's Georgetown.
Very happy being a regular at Clyde's Georgetown.
Exceptional service. Enjoyable drinks. Gets crowded so make a reservation.
This was my second visit to Clyde’s in the last few weeks, and I was disappointed with the food both times. This time, I ordered the salmon salad, a favorite I discovered two years ago. The fish was dry, the salad greens were half the amount as when I had it last year, and the lemon vinaigrette was something lemony drowned under a sea of separated oil. I had to stir it with my fork, to no avail! It was nothing like the creamy lemony emulsion they offered before, so good that I always asked for extra. Is there a new chef? After this experience, I’m giving up on Clyde’s.
