   While our food was delicious it was horrific service. We had to flag someone down to get refill on our water, we were not asked if we would like another drink from the bar. We had booked not knowing it was restaurant week and wound up pleasantly surprised. Due to restaurant week, we had ordered our dessert along with our meal. It was brought out with no question of whether we would like coffee/tea or after dinner drink. I again had to flag someone down for our check. My husband mentioned that we hadn’t seen our waiter and no one had asked us if we’d like anything else and he offered them to get us coffee. Too late. Although it was restaurant week, I will say restaurant was half empty, so poor service was not due to crowd. The couple next to us was not given a steak knife and couldn’t get the attention of waiter either, so I passed her a butter knife to use. The positive is her steak was super tender and it did the trick. The poor service ruined the experience

   a 'standard' steakhouse menu with everything a la carte and very pricey [ eg $15 for mashed potatoes] the wedge salad was large with fresh ice-berg but had no distinguishing features. the shared rib eye was well sized and appropriately medium rare but quite fatty and required significant trimming. the wine by the glass were a good selection and fairly priced. we didn't see much to distinguish this steak house from most others.

   Even though this is a steakhouse, I had the Chilean Sea-Bass, and it was phenomenal! Also the service it’s great and not intrusive. Will be back!

   I had a very disappointing experience there. The restaurant is extremely expensive. Our bill with tip was almost $150 per person. There was nothing special about the steak. The broccoli was overcooked. I have to say, the cream spinach was excellent.. We picked the restaurant because of its location in the middle of the theater district. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

   Everyone at the table shared the same first bite reaction, “Whoa that is GOOD.” And, then you know you are at an excellent steakhouse! The staff snd service was attentive while ensuring never an interruption. Definitely will return!

   The experience at Frankie and Johnnie's was everything we hoped it would be. Classy, comfortable environment, worl-class service and the best steak I've ever had! Really wonderful. Our main server was Abraham. Helpful, knowledgeable and fun. And the rest of the team was attentive and welcoming. This classic 46th Street restaurant lived up to and exceeded its reputation. A "not to be missed" NYC dining experience.

   Nice atmosphere, good service. The steak was cooked right, nice looking piece of meet, but the flavor was disappointing, very plain. Hash browns were exceptional. I ordered a vodka gimlet with lots of lime, extra Rose's lime, but it was basically vodka and a slice of lime. I would try it again.

   Great experience in terms of food, drinks, service and ambience! I only wish they would have given us a table in front of the restaurent and not at the entrance to the service area as there were many free tables. Anyways .. will surely return!
