Great food. A bit noisy, but lovely atmosphere.
I brought my husband and friend to Palette 22 for brunch. The food was great and so was the service. We will definitely be back soon!
Delish as usual. Excellent menu selection and value for the money. Great staff! Love this restaurant and have dined here about 6-7x in the last 2 months.
Wait was long but it’s because they managed to accommodate 2 more to my party. Service was good! Love the waffle and taco bar! 2nd time we go & I would go again!
This place is amazing. Brunch is great. The foor is delicious.
Excellent food. Great and reasonably priced weekend brunch.
Beautiful local art covering walls.
Staff are very pleasant and helpful. My favorite weekend brunch place.
Never disappoints. Excellent staff and great food.
To start with, I ordered a cocktail, a Manhattan straight up. The waiter brought me a Manhattan on the rocks which I refused. He came back a couple of minutes later with my drink, but my guess is the bartender simply strained the drink to remove the ice. I ordered three Street Tacos assuming they were single tacos, but soon realized there was two tacos per order (good on Palette 22) which was not on the menu, nor explained by the waiter (bad on Palette 22). My wife had the ribs, but they ended up being way too spicy for her to eat. My guess is Palette 22 is capable of much better than this, but that was not my experience.
Fun atmosphere, good unique food. Happy hour was a nice surprise.
We loved the small plates and variety of choices. Each dish was perfect for sharing, and the drinks were creative and delicious.
Everything was great! Will come back!!
I asked friends the best place to go for food in Shirlington and they told me Palette 22. I had the Watermelon & Halloumi Cheese, Flash Fried Brussels Sprouts and the Basically Delicious cocktail. All of it was, well, delicious! We sat in the bar area which had a fun, friendly atmosphere. I definitely plan on going there more often!
It was really fun & the food was yummy. At first it was too loud, but, we were in the bar area. Our server was the best!!!!
Food was fabulous, service not so hot.
Great food, great vibe. Very satisfied
Palette 22 was a great brunch experience! The bottomless brunch option allowed our group to try all of the amazing small plates on the menu. The waffle and taco bar were easily accessible, and our server was attentive in spite of being very busy.
My second time dining at P22 for Sunday brunch. The volume of the music was so loud that, combined with ambient noise, I could barely hear the person sitting right next to me. Some of our food was overly salty--so salty that I didn't even eat it. The drinks were good, as usual. The gluten-free options seem to have diminished since last time I had brunch there, which is frustrating and disappointing. So, while it wasn't a bad meal, it wasn't a particularly good meal either, and I won't be going again for brunch.
This was our first time at Palette 22 for brunch. We just ordered from the menu although for big eaters the special would be worth it. Food was excellent and varied for a group of 6 that ranged from age 5 to 70. We’ve also been here for dinner and enjoyed it. We love the fact that there’s always an artist and the artwork created there is displayed around the restaurant. The only issue is the noise - it’s very loud so just be prepared
Waitress was great and the brunch menu/style was too.
Came for brunch which was a little pricey considering drinks are not bottomless (but are half price), but food was pretty good took a little long to come out a couple times but they have a waffle and taco station to hold you over. Other than that service was great and the place is really cool and artsy. Probably won’t do brunch again I found out that they have outside dog friendly seating so I will be back to try lunch/dinner :)
Palette 22 is our go-to neighborhood place for everyday dining, in this case brunch. We love the menu variety and quality. Service is unfailingly friendly and prompt. The bartenders are also knowledgeable and helpful. We often find the music too loud for conversation, but a word to the server usually yields an adjustment.
Our server, Ema, was excellent in every way! She made the experience that much more enjoyable!
Food is excellent and service was equally excellent. I’ve been there many times and will come back again.
You get what you pay for for happy hour, nothing special about the food, but the energy and service were great!
The signature cocktail was great but the serving of Whiskey was minuscule.
The place was fairly empty but we were seated by a very loud and obnoxious table.
Food was fine but not worth the price.
Will not be returning.
Overall just an amazing bottomless brunch!
First off, brunch was great and delicious, and at a fair price. Taco bar was awesome.
It was our anniversary, and so despite the service we had a good time. Not condemning the entire restaurant at all: it was a slow Sunday morn, but when I need to get up and go to the waitstaff stand in order to refill my wife's coffee halfway through our meal--it was her first cup so it wasn't like she was guzzling--and drop off some dirty plates, well, then something is off. Some time after dessert, we just hailed some random guy down and asked for our bill.
I wouldn't have even wrote this... but they emailed me asking for input. And basically I just wanted to repeat the quip we made-- "For the first time, we wished we had one of those annoying iPads that you order and pay with right at the table (similar to chains or kid friendly places)."
And yeah, I could have spoken up, but we just wanted to relax.
Really good pricing and location, it is in a little shopping area with other stores. Perfect for a girls brunch. The portions for bottomless brunch are large, it is not tapas, so it's an amazing deal.
I forgot my sunglasses at the table and they held on to them until I called by next day to collect them
One of my favorite restaurants! Food is great and it’s just a great atmosphere.
Always a great time here. I will continue to support Palette 22 as much as I can.
Loved the atmosphere. The food is amazing. The wait staff helpful and prompt. Unfortunately, the music made it uncomfortable for me. Too loud. If I were to do it again, I would sit outside due to the volume which might mean not being able to go there until it's cooler outside.
Great restaurant! Food was amazing! Service was awesome!
This visit was for drinks only and one appetizer. I can't speak to a lot of the food there, but we did enjoy the Halloumi and Watermelon dish. Tasty and salty!
We all ordered drinks which came out fairly quickly and were good. We also ordered a watermelon agua fresca which was probably a 2.5/5. Just lacked anything unique and was overpriced ($4) for such a small drink.
Only other item of note, I find the music in the bar is too loud sometimes. So, if you want someplace to talk, this is probably not your best choice.
We've been there 5 times over 3 years. Service is outstanding. Several items we ordered were great and some poor at best. Seems little supervision in the kitchen.
Patatas Bravas---soggy and cold
Octopus---overcooked and dry, no flavor
Crispy cauliflower--not crispy at all
Cheeseburger sliders---had in the past and were good but this time were overcooked (past well-done) and very dry
Haloumi and watermelon, baked goat cheese, Mexican street corn, Brussel sprouts were great.
We visited on a Friday evening with a family group that included six adults and a 9 year old. The bar area is noisy, so we sat in the large adjacent dining room. The menu is tapas-style with small plates to share. There are several food categories, with several selections within each category. We chose the "fixed price" option that was an absolutely great idea. We tested about one-third of the menu options, and each item was excellent, especially the fish tacos. The service was excellent. I'd especially recommend Palette 22 for groups as the format encourages interaction.
Very interesting and creative menu. Loved the sangria as well, both red and white. Make sure you try and watermelon and halloumi- it is to die for! We thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried!
Our server was Brian. He was great at helping us select the right food and the right amount. Everything was delicious and we will be coming back!
a nice spot for lunch. Art work provided nice ambiance. Small plates were good size in that 3 plates was enough for a party of two.
Absolutely delicious. For $27 you can order anything on the menu as many times as you would like plus there's waffle bar. The burger sliders and monkey bread were my favorite. Never did we feel rushed to hurry up and choose or hurry up and leave. The pizza was also very good. It was so much food that we didn't make it to the waffle bar but will definitely try it next time.
