Excellent food and service!
The table next to us was very noisy unfortunately, but an awesome experience!
Will return when visiting London next time.

We came to the restaurant on a Tuesday night without a reservation. Without even looking at any kind of book or information, the staff told us there were absolutely no tables available for the rest of the evening. Then I looked at OpenTable and was able to make a reservation for 15 minutes later. Food was good, but service didn't improve from that first interaction. We practically had to wave our arms around to get anyone's attention even though there were many staff bustling about, studiously avoiding eye contact. Beautiful room and lovely setting though.

Everything was great, the food, the service in the dining room. The only bad point was the waiting for our table. We had a reservation for 21:15pm but when we arrive our table was not ready and the welcoming staff invite to wait at the bar. So we waited for almost 40 minutes so we order a cocktail. In my opinion, the minimum in that kind of situations, should be offering a drink to the clients who had to wait even though we made a reservation

The ambience of the secondary room is horrible with lighting that is just wrong for a restaurant and with no attempt by the restaurant to make small changes to improve it, making the dingy corner we were in horrible. The service was ridiculously slow and despite their email saying we have the table for 2 hours, the speed of their service meant the whole meal lasted 3 and couldn’t wait to leave. Food is obviously good but now feels like a very 90s offering compared to other contemporary Indian fine dining options available in London now.

I ordered the tasting menu thinking it would showcase what they consider their best dishes. If the tasting menu is any indication of their best food then this place has average food. The setting is quite nice (an old library), but the food was average and not worth the money.

The room was lovely, the food was good but the service was appalling.
We were left unattended for long periods of time and we had to wait endlessly for our food.
We had to stand up to make the waiters aware that we wanted to pay and leave.
And in the end, we were overcharged. We were so fed up and disappointed that we failed to realise that they had overcharged us...until we had left...
We were celebrating a birthday and we left with a sad and sour feeling.
Not good! We won't be rushing back.

Excellent gastronomical experience - quality of the food, presentation, flavour. I would definitely recommend it. We were unlucky to have to wait for 55 minutes at the bar to get access to our table despite we arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule. We would have expected to be somehow compensated for it but it was not the case (a sorry for the wait, at least, would have been appreciated). It is difficult to be on top of these things when you have a very busy restaurant. These details though make the difference between very good and the best ones

My wife and I had a 9pm booking at the Cinnamon Club this past Saturday night. We arrived at 2055hrs to be told that our table was not ready but would we like to have a drink in one of their 2 bars. We had no issue with this what so ever. The restaurant is in lovely rooms. The drinks order was quickly take and then the drinks were slow to arrive. Once the drinks arrived we were left for 20 minutes. At 2120hrs I went to see if our table was ready. I was greeted by a stunned front of house staff member who immediately grabbed menus and wanted to usher me to our table. I asked if might get my wife from the bar and asked I we are to bring our own drinks through the table. No reaction whatsoever. I went to collect my wife and we were led to the table.
Our order was taken reasonable quickly by a polite but disinterested waiter who tried to up-sell some nan bread that we did not want with our starter. This arrived at the table anyway - we sent it back. The starters and mains were very nice indeed and the atmosphere in the room lovely. We happily tipped the waiter/support staff for their reasonable service.
At the end of the meal when we went to the front desk to collect our coats it turns out that my wife had left our cloak room tag on the dining room table. When this was mentioned we were asked to return to the table and collect the ticket ourselves. Although the food was lovely we both felt that the way we were treated as guests was incredibly disappointing. The staff who greeted us and ushered us to our table were inconsiderate and rude. The greeting we received, delay in table and rudeness when we collected our coats was unacceptable. The General Manager has some work to do with his staff. As a result, we have no intention of returning to the Cinnamon Club.

Sadly we had a very disappointing experience on Saturday evening. It was cold in the restaurant. We waited for an hour before ours starters arrived - Naan Bread and chutney! At least one of the main courses arrived cold and the waitress was alerted. She offered to tell the manager. Nothing happened and eventually my husband got up and and walked across the restaurant to find the manager to report the issue. His food was taken away for reheating. The waitress was inattentive, unfriendly and lacking in good table service skills throughout. Spilt items of food were left on the table cloth and not cleared down between the main course and the dessert. A wine glass was dropped on the floor by a waitress at a nearby table and the shards of glass were not immediately swept up; in fact some large shards were left on the floor for the remainder of the evening. The bill was presented twice, incorrectly. At the time of booking, and only when asked, I mentioned we were celebrating my husband's birthday but then on the evening nothing transpired. Overall, we were extremely disappointed. This was to have been a special occasion and we had been recommended the Cinnamon Club by friends.

Four of us celebrating a birthday.
Three went for the library menu and one a-la-carte.
Excellent food, really well balanced spices in every dish. Very good service and even brought out a birthday cake for my wife.
One of my favourite places in London

Went for a birthday dinner. The staff were really nice and brought me a particularly good complimentary birthday desert and a handwritten card signed by the whole team and head chef! Really good service.

And, as ever, the food is light, healthy and interesting. The restaurant itself has a lively atmosphere and the setting is fantastic!

Apart from a bizarre service error: the starters arrived before the canapés and when we pointed this out we were asked if we were OK with that or wanted them in the right order. However, that apart the food was fantastic and the service impeccable. Loved it.

I have been here several times for lunch which was excellent, so decided to book breakfast as a birthday treat for a friend early morning. The place was quiet and so I expected that I would receive a great level of service with attentive smiling staff. Instead the waitress disappeared and we where left waiting for a long period for someone to come over and refill our small coffee cups. I had the full English but I wasn't offered any condiments, or offered table water. or suggested juices. The breakfast itself was a disappointment for the price, not even a whole mushroom, but a measly 1 quarter mushroom, no extra toast offered. Poached eggs where slightly over cooked and the breakfast was served on a cold plate. The bill was thrust into my hand without a smile in a book and again I had to get up from my seat and go to reception desk to find someone to pay the bill as no staff around. Huge disappointment. My guest faired a little better with the scrambled eggs on salmon, but I will not be bringing anyone here in the future for breakfast.

Went for the early dinner menu. It was pretty quiet at first (I assume they have the early dinner offer to get diners in and give the place more life which after a time was certainly there). The food was excellent - everything we had was faultless. Wine and cocktail also very good. Service was very professional. I recommend.
