   Our server Hailey was wonderful. Attentive but not intrusive. Made great recommendations and suggestions. A error in what we ordered, but was rectified immediately. Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed their meal.

   Lynn and I thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day dinner at Downtown Bistro. It was sunny but a bit cool on the patio, so Lynn was delighted with the knee blanket they brought out for her. Nice thoughtful touch. The meal was great. Lynn was very pleased with her shrimp and gluten-free pasta dish, and my sesame salmon was tasty and nicely presented. We had ideal service from Haylee, our waitress. We'll certainly be back again soon.

   Patio seating on a beautiful May day - everything we ordered from the lunch menu was delicious, cooked from scratch. And the service was perfect as well, very friendly and pleasant.

   Service, food, ambience were all excellent. It was wonderful to be able to hear people at our table - the recent renovations have contributed to making the Downtown Bistro one of my favourite downtown dining venues.

   Great food and service. Found it odd that they asked if it was a special occasion - yes my birthday - but we didn’t get anything for it

   Delicious meal, great service. Small venue so when it is busy (both times I have been there) it can get a little noisy.

   Overall I was impressed with the meal it was excellent. What I did not like is that the offered a side with your mean and included Fries, sweet potato fries, salad or Caesar salad. We were not informed that the sweet potato fries were an additional $6! Not impressed and for that reason alone will not go back.

   Thank You for for your review. It clearly states on the menu as well as on our website the upcharge for sweet potato fries is $6 . All entrees come with house salad or fresh cut fries. Caesar salad and soup of the day as well as sweet potato fries are a upcharge. I am not aware of any restaurant that does not charge extra for these upgrades
