Ease into your weekend at Grow, Hackney Wick’s canalside escape, where the food is full of flavour, the drinks are flowing, and the soundtrack is live and global. From 11am to 3pm, enjoy a vibrant homemade brunch menu featuring bold, seasonal dishes like our Kimchi & Cheese Toastie, rich and smoky Shakshuka, Potato & Black Bean Hash, or a colourful Mezze Platter piled high with falafel, muhammara, roasted vegetables and za’atar flatbreads. From 1pm to 4pm, settle in for Canalside Sessions, a free afternoon of world-class live music on our floating pontoon stage. On Saturdays, master conga player Williams Cumberbache performs solo, blending Afro, Latin and jazz rhythms into a deeply uplifting and intimate live set. On Sundays, he invites special guests – some of the best jazz and global musicians in London – for a rotating series of exceptional collaborations. It’s a rare chance to experience high-calibre musicianship in a relaxed, sunlit setting by the canal, and a real treat for music lovers and weekend wanderers alike. Add a little fizz to your afternoon with our Spritz Happy Hour, with two for £15, or enjoy two Crodinos for £10 if you’re going alcohol-free.

Join us every Thursday at Grow Hackney for an evening of live jazz led by our house band, Stratos — performing indoors during autumn and winter, and on our outdoor floating stage in spring and summer (weather dependent). Since 2016, Stratos — led by Mercury Prize-nominated Rio Kai — has brought the full spectrum of jazz to life, blending tradition with innovation in a dynamic, ever-evolving set. Featuring Rio Kai (bass), Dom Pusey (sax), Mike De Souza (guitar), and Zoe Pascal (drums), their performances celebrate improvisation and musical dialogue. Set along the canalside in Hackney Wick, Grow offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere to enjoy jazz alongside a homemade evening menu, cocktails, organic wines, local beers, and soft drinks. The night begins outdoors (in good weather), then moves inside for an intimate second set and jam session. Local musicians are welcome to join — message @stratostheband on Instagram if you'd like to play. Outside by the canal 19:30 - 21:00 followed by inside Jazz Jam 21:30 - 22:45 Happy Hour is from 16:00 - 18:00, featuring cocktails, beer and wine.
