We dined pre-theatre so it was early in the evening, but a warm summer evening so doors wide open and restaurant was bright and airy, a few tables occupied, both inside and out. Service was excellent, responding to our time pressure yet we managed 3 courses. Great veggie and fish choices, desserts to die for. All very tasty and well presented. Didn't really check out meat or vegan options. Reasonable wine list - we tried a Tasmanian bubbly (Arras) - lovely. We rate outstanding because all boxes checked well

Really outstanding food and service at this local cafe/restaurant. It was quite quiet on the evening we visited; I hope more people discover it and the business success as we are keen to return!

Saturday evening - very quiet because the evening trade has yet to build up, unlike the daytime! They have adjusted the lighting from the brightness of the day and have unobtrusive music. Food was amazing - perfectly cooked, inventive, a little different. Service was kind and interested. Will go again soon

A really good addition to the neighbourhood, evening dining at England's Lane was excellent. A combination of beautifully cooked food, charming staff and a relaxed feel to the restaurant. A good selection of wines complement the dishes.
