Claudio's Ristorante in Hamilton, Ontario, is a traditional Italian restaurant that serves fine gourmet meals in a cozy bistro setting. The food is inspired by the owner, Claudio Andreis and his love for authentic Italian fare. Diners can enjoy lunch or dinner at Claudio's Ristorante.
Start your meal at Claudio's Ristorante with a minestrone soup or one of the many authentic salad dishes, before moving on to a homemade pasta, risotto, or meat or seafood dish. The menu includes favorites such as veal with sauteed cremini mushrooms, squid ink risotto with calamari and more. The menu provides plenty of options for vegetarians as well as meat eaters.
Excellent food with attentive service. Delicious arancini, caprese salad pasta and fish
The minute you walk in the door you feel extremely welcome. Food was fantastic as always!
Visiting Canada for business, I stopped by Claudio’s to have dinner.
Nice ambience, excellent food and very kind staff make this place a restaurant should miss if you are nearby!
One of my favourite place for lunch and dinner. Food is excellent.
Fantastic food, wine list and staff. Tasted like a meal from my Nonna’s house with the added touch of a fine dining experience. Love Claudio and his wife as well.
An excellent lunch - the food was all delicious and well presented. The lady server was lovely but the older gentleman was somewhat surly.
We came to celebrate my Husbands birthday and had a fabuous meal. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Seabass was melt in your mouth amazing. Reasonable bill for three people with appetizers, bottle of wine, entrees and coffee. Dessert was to die for! Salted Carmel cheese cake and a chocolate cake. Would recommend to anyone looking for fine dining and outstanding service.
The atmosphere was very elegant. Claudio was our host and server. He is a true gentleman. Very helpful with the menu and knowledgeable about the wines on their wine list. I am definitely going back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fine dining Italian experience.
Great food, great service, however the out of control children running and yelling at the party upstairs became annoying after the first 10min but went on for well over an hour.
Old world charm with special attention to service and quality.
Very nice restaurant food was excellent pasta was perfect “al dente”
Easy parking just next door
I do recommend it
Intimate dining room with good food however it took 45 minutes to order an appetizer! Our dinner was 2.5 hours without coffee and dessert. Our waiter seemed frustrated at times and a bit confused. Willing to give it one more shot though.
Everything was as expected for this long standing favorite of mine. Kristine came out to chat, the staff were perfectly attentive without being intrusive, Hors d'oeuvre salads and dinner were perfect and the restaurant celebrated our anniversary with a wonderful dessert. hands down favorite
A very lovely traditional restaurant.
Thank you again for a great dinner. The calamari was delicious as were all of our entrees. The service was really appreciated as everyone was so attentive. Will be back for sure!
Excellent experience - great service and delicious food. We will be back! Thank you.
Fabulous food, excellent service and a very nice atmosphere.
The food was amazing and chef Christine came out to check on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Can't get better than that!
Went once but no more. Price is way too high for what u get. Pricing rivals much better restaurants but the food was so so. Pasta was simply ok at best. Beware of the hidden extra costs and continued upselling by the owner. Asks if you want water and of course you say yes but at 7.00 later on the bill without being told. We only wanted tap water. They ask if you want chicken added to a pasta to which you say sure to a tiny piece of chicken for 12.00. They of course say its organic on the bill to justify the outrageous price for the tiny portion. Highly doubt its organic and frankly i dont want organic. I recommend everyone to ask for pricing on all items ahead of ordering whats not on the menu. 250 dollars for 4 basic pasta dishes and one 40 bottle if wine speaks rip-off. Go elsewhere.
From the moment that we arrived inside the door, we received great service. With a welcome smile, our reservation was confirmed and our coats were hung up for us and then we were promptly seated. The atmosphere was tastefully decorated in a contemporary Italian style with ample space between tables. Our waiter Christian was very professional and courteous and provided us with prompt and friendly service. The presentation of our food was well done and delicious. The restaurant was very accommodating with regards to dietary preferences. We expressed our gratitude for the enjoyment of our food to the chef when she came to our table to check on things. A great evening out with friends who all agreed that we would come back again and recommend Claudio's to others.
We celebrated my mother in laws 91st birthday, owner and staff were so attentive to her! Food was awesome we will definitely return!
Love Claudio's. Well worth the drive from Kitchener. Claudio and Christine always make us feel so welcome.
Thank you Claudio’s. Our server was very attentive and helped us enjoy a most relaxing evening. The food was delicious, hot and well presented.
Everything about this place is unreal!! Highly recommend
Excellent service, authentic food. Very impressed!
Fabulous intimate Italian restaurant. Service and quality were perfect. A truly friendly, upscale establishment. Trout was perfect!
This was our first time to Claudio’s and we were not disappointed. We went to celebrate Hubble/Dad/PopPop’s birthday. From beginning to end the service was outstanding. Our two grandbabies were at dinner as well and were acknowledged and made to feel like princesses.
The food was superb , flavourful , hot and served in a timely fashion.
I would have no trouble recommending Claudio’s to others and can’t wait to return.
Thanks you for the great service !
This was our first time at Claudio’s. We were very happy. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was beautiful. Our waiter was very nice too. Thank you!
Excellent food and excellent service. First time going to the restaurant and was not disappointed. Would definitely recommend to others and would most definitely go again!
This place was amazing soon as we got in they assisted up with taking our coats off and hanging them up then I was treated by the owner with a rose and was told happy Valentine’s Day . The setting was so nice & personal . So romantic . Noise level was moderate food was amazing I wish they had told us there was gunna be a special menu and not the one that on open table but it was still very good and defineltly worth the price I will be back
I really enjoyed dining here, it was my first time and I felt it was warm and comforting. The good presentation was beautiful and equally tasted great.my server was attentive and made me feel very welcome. The price was reasonable as well. I highly recommend dining here for a relaxed and delicious experience!
Great service from staff. Authentic Italian cuisine. Ample portions. Excellent wine selection.
It was perfect!! Time well spent with my husband and his parents!! Thank you!!
My husband and I were blown away by Claudio’s ! The service , ambiance and food was unbelievable. Thank you!
Over all a good restaurant with good food but a couple key complaints on this visit. Number one, absolutely no indication that they were doing a special menu for New Year’s Eve that was considerably more expensive than expectations. Secondly, how an Italian restaurant doesn’t have a single pasta option on said limited menu is really quite staggering.
All of that would’ve been pretty forgivable if it weren’t for the really really really slow service. We were over two hours at the restaurant and we really didn’t want to be there that long. We weren’t in a rush but we didn’t have two hours on our mind. 15 minutes sitting at the beginning without even a menu. 15 minutes or more waiting for a dessert. Another 15 or so minutes waiting for the check. It was mind-bogglingly slow. The restaurant was not that big and there weren’t that many people there. There’s nothing to explain such impossibly slow service.
I don’t mind paying for the right experience but if you’re going to swing the bat at such a premium level you better have all your ducks in a row.
I would’ve loved to of actually sample of the restaurants actual menu to determine if I wanted to come back sometime but instead I have to go on is this overpriced experience of something that I may or may not be able to have the next time I go there. I don’t understand why restaurants do this. It’s shortsighted and bad for business long-term.
Came here for the first time New Years Eve with a date after wanting to come here for a long time. I dine quite often and found my experience here outstanding to say the least. Probably the best meal at a restaurant I’ve had in the last 5 years. Had authentic Italian style bruschetta, carpaccio as an app that was made to perfection with shaved parmigiano cheese and arugula. For my entree I had Cioppino(Italian seafood stew) they didn’t cheap out on the seafood I had plenty of PEI mussels clams, shrimp, octopus and a very healthy size lobster tail in the stew. It was made the way my family makes it and the sauce was perfect!! The kahlua chocolate cake for dessert was magnificent ! Extensive wine list for all price ranges. Claudio himself made sure everything was good and brought out the wine himself. Christine in the kitchen did an amazing job with everything. My bill for two appetizers plus two bruschetta my entree my dates entree (rack of lamb) a bottle of Chianti, 2 cocktails and dessert for both the total was $252. I paid $300 with tip and it was the best $300 I’ve spent at a restaurant in a long time. Perfection on New Year’s Eve!👌🏻
Delicious food, fantastic waitress that offered numerous suggestions. The lemon and orange sorbet was the best I’ve ever had.
Was a business dinner for 6 with out of town visitors. No problem getting a reservation as it was a Monday evening and we may have been the only group there that evening. The appetizers and entree's were very good and complimented by all. The only concern was my wife and I each ordered a Cesar salad and the lettuce was very brown, soggy and poor tasting. We only ate a couple of bites each. It should never have been served in that condition.
The restaurant was full, with a couple of larger groups. This didn't detract from a warm welcome, or the quality of food and service. Extra staff, who seemed mostly to be family members, provided excellent service, with only a couple of minor waits. Chef Kristine made time to greet everyone, including a hug after we expressed our appreciation. We shared a wonderful calamari appetizer which could have been a meal in itself, followed by the pasta special with generous pieces of lobster and a superb sauce, and the Veal Henry, which was also excellent. For desserts, we had lemon sorbet served in a hollowed out lemon, and tiramisu...both delicious. The house wines were pricey, but good, and better value than the very marked up bottles. Not something we would do every day, but a splendid way to celebrate a special occasion. We would definitely go back.
We celebrated our daughters 21st Birthday. From all the restaurants she could have picked she chose this restaurant to eat at :) This was her second time at Claudio's we came as a family to celebrate my birthday last year.
we all really enjoy the food and the friendly service we receive.
Thank you for another great evening :)
