Server was rushed in the beginning and then we had to flag him down for dessert and coffee. Food was amazing! Ambience was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself, thanks to a very large party in the middle of the restaurant.

Very good food. Casual atmosphere. Great alternative to a North End restaurant.

This was our second time at Antonio’s. The food and service are great. We especially love the house-made fusilli. Antonio’s location near Mass General makes it a more convenient Italian restaurant for us than those in the North End, with no sacrifice of quality. We will go again.

The actual restaurant is smaller than the picture posted. They must of used a wide lens. The tables are situated very close together. No frills. There were no candles or tablecloths. The waiter was nice, but a little rough around the edges. (Salty language). I tried to order a glass of pinot noir but was told they don’t have that. We were not asked if we wanted more bread and it took a long while before our water was refilled. On a very positive note, the food was excellent! The portions were generous! I had lobster ravioli and it topped anything I have had in the NorthEnd! My husbands chicken marsala was one of the best he has ever had! If the other things don’t bother you, go for the great food!

We arrived late unfortunately due to traffic and I called to inform the restaurant, they said no problem. I then get a text message from someone asking if i’m still coming after I confirmed I was running late. We finally got there maybe 30 minutes after our reservation time, and got sat with a waitress who was not fit to be in the industry. She was not warm or friendly, she made horrible drinks. My friend couldn’t even finish her first drink, it was sour. She made me a cosmo and it was the worst cosmo i’ve ever had, it was all orange liquor. When we put our entrees in, I wanted the pesto gnocchi with a chicken cutlet on top. She told me, sautéed chicken? I said no I want a chicken cutlet and she proceeded to say “I don’t want that.” She told me she would have to charge me an additional entree for the cutlet and that’s a waste. I was puzzled and completely caught off guard. If a patron is asking for something and you tell them you “don’t want that because it’s extra” there’s a way of informing the customer it will be an additional charge for something which I was fine with doing. The food arrived, the chicken cutlet was cut up and mixed into my gnocchi which was the worst gnocchi i’ve ever had. I took 3 bites and it was complete mush (overcooked). My friends fusilli was so greasy and my other friends tortelini was overcooked and mushy. The lady who cleared our plates asked if I wanted mine boxed as I had a full plate of food and I said no it was very overcooked. Our waitress never came over to inquire and also never explained the written bill to us so we had to question $12 that was added to our bill. Overall, I’d never come here again or recommend. It had good reviews which is why I made a reservation but this place needs serious work.

Delicious! We were glad to make a Thursday evening reservation because the place ended up packed!! Bread to begin, then a great glass of white Zinfandel for me with gnocchi pesto (generous helpings for both items) and my husband had a decaf cappuccino with his chicken pasta and broccoli. Chicken, pasta, and sauce were well done, he reports. Ambiance was super lively, lots of Italian accents and yelling but in a good natured spirit. Would visit again!
