Jake's Boathouse - Brampton
Pretty dated and run down, the food is better than the service. The restaurant could use an overhaul and additional staff, our server was friendly but brought out the wrong entree and wasn’t very fast with refills.
Good burgers and apps. Lots of parking and good ambience
The band was great as well ... good mix of music, well played, and strong vocals :)
The experience was exceptional. The service was wonderful also.
Tables placed so close together we were forced to squeeze into the booth because it was too tight for us to sit at the chairs at the table. With the fact that the tables are so close, conversations were so loud that it was hard to hear people seated at our own table.
Went there to celebrate my wife’s birthday, reserved a table for eight online. Watched the band called The Doubt, amazing performance! Three sets of power vocals and great sound from the rest of the band. We sang, clapped, danced the night away. Good crowd overall, we love the 80’s sound and we got it. They sang our requests too, from REM to Journey to Billy Idol. They wanted to make their audience happy! Service and food were great, we finished all our food satisfied. I am a vegan and I had a great meal, so did the rest of the party. Highly recommended!!! Ten stars!
We Love coming to Jake's Boathouse for a fun friends night out and Birthday celebrations. We were recently there to celebrate a friends birthday and see our favorite band the Marc Joseph band, they pack the place every time and it is a realy party. I highly recommend this place. The food is always good and reasonably priced, drinks are cold and weight staff is friendly and they work so hard to get your drinks out fast to you even on the busiest night. The crowd is very eclectic which is fun, there are people in there late 20's, 30's, 40's and ++ but ultimately everyone is there to just have fun.
Was there with friends to watch the Marc Joseph band play. We arrived early and all enjoyed some great appetizers and drinks. Had a fabulous time. Can't wait for Marc and the boys to come back again.
interior looks kinda dated also interior needs some upgrading prices are generally in line with fine dining selection of entrees extremely limited wine prices way out of line, A fairly decent restaurant but based on prices not complete value for my hard earned $$$$$ My seafood linguine was only luke warm when served to me also we expected a different way for yellow perch presentation looked like battered pieces of could be anything. My recent meal at Montanas was twice as good and half the price that about sums it up
Enjoyed the band and the food was yummy. Really enjoyed the Clam Chowder
The ribs were fantastic and the service polite and prompt. Salad was prepackaged, wilted and uninteresting. Bar atmosphere was good but in need of a good cleaning. The location was industrial not scenic.
This has a feel of a past-prime roadhouse that has died and is hanging on by life support. Terrible ambience. We went there for a birthday celebration and I felt as if I was in a dive bar. Service was OK but we could tell the servers were not happy we were there as we were one of the few people in the establishment and this was preventing them from leaving early - this at 7pm on a weekday night!
The band After Glow was very good. Played a lot of dance music which is what we came for. Our waitress was very attentive without being over bearing. The food was delicious in good portions. The lead singer of After glow came to our table to thank us for getting up to dance and she wished me a happy birthday which was much appreciated.
We were there for Halloween night...it was lots of fun, great music..good food...
Our server was awesome! she was on the ball even though it was a very busy night..
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the "Famous" Ribs very much. The were pretty fatty and flavorless. The honey BBQ sauce didn't help very much. I don't think I would go back as I wasn't feeling very well after the meal.
