Our chef has put together a fantastic selection of our favourite festive dishes for you and your guess using ingredients the best local suppliers. Two courses for £25 or three for £29.50. Please note we will require a pre-order for this booking type, so please ensure your contact details are correct as we will be in touch for this around a week before your visit. We will also require a £10 per person deposit to be paid which we will take at the same time as the pre-order. Vegan and vegetarian options are available as we will be happy to discuss any allergens or other dietary requirements with you.

Brilliant location, excellent ambience, great service and value for the area. Hopefully this won't change as this pub becomes more well known. The burger, pie of the day, and roast all looked really nicely made and good portion sizes. The feedback on the table was that the food was very tasty and all 5 of us would go back. I unfortunately ordered what to seemed to be by far the worst dish they serve. The cod fillet portion size and consistency was simply not up to the standards of the other dishes - very chewy and very small. I did get to try the roast and that was, in fact, amazing.

We had some nibbles to start with followed by two main courses from the specials board. We finished with two desserts also from the specials board. We can heartily recommend our main courses- the bacon chop and the cod. One of us then had a chocolatey pudding while the other had rice pudding- absolutely amazing.

Good location, food, and feel. Sad to see 10% service charges added to the bill. Either the prices don't include staff wages or they're awkwardly trying to milk more money out of you. If so £20 for a Sunday lunch without staff wages included is extortionate. Make it an option to choose on the card machine. It is not the USA.

Access to the restaurant area is quite difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The service was slow but the menu was interesting and the food well prepared.

Not a huge dining room, so felt atmospheric on a Sunday evening. Young staff were really friendly and efficient, and the food was great. Cod cooked perfectly and the best chips ! Warm ambiance in the bar too.

Had the soup: delicious, as to what the bread; followed by the children's roast (as kindly advised by the waitress, based on my hunger levels). Would go again, beautiful spot, too. Lots of outdoor seating, would be perfect for warmer weather.

We had such a lovely lunch at the Fox. It was my mother in laws birthday and then bought out a little cake and candle at the end of the meal. My husband and I both had the roast beef, and it was absolutely delicious. The chef certainly knows his/her stuff ! Really flavourful food cooked beautifully, nice and hot and just the right amount of gravy! We also sat in a lovely part of the restaurant right down the end near the conservatory which was really nice as we had the view of the gardens, river and beyond. We bought our dog which is also very convenient and the lady waitress who looked after us was super friendly and helpful. As always we look forward to returning. Thank you !

This was our first visit & loved the Fox! Beautiful pub in a beautiful setting. The staff were very welcoming, cheerful & efficient. My steak & ale pie with chips, gravy & cabbage was excellent. Noticed you do gluten free food so that’s a bonus as my husband is a coeliac. I’ll bring him next time! Thank you X

Only one vegetarian main course on offer so chose a starter and sides. Starter on sourdough was very tough - couldn't be cut with a knife - felt the bread wasn't very fresh. The wedge salad is a quarter of iceberg with dressing, onion croton and sliced tomato. The waitress dropped half of this off on the table but didn't offer to replace it.... also had to ask another member if staff to clean up - most of it ended up on the floor! The chips were delicious and partner enjoyed venison lasagne. There was no music so very little atmosphere which was ruined about 8pm by a small crowd.4 year old wailing loudly. Not at all what you need in a restaurant... more the diners fault than the venue. I feel this place has potential. Food underwhelming and more vegetarian choices required. Over priced for what it was...

This is an excellent pub to visit, sited beside a stream in a picturesque Cotswold village. Homely country decor, tables inside and out. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very attentive to our needs. We had lunch there and the food was delicious and well presented. There was no rush to move us on so we spent a few hours there happily. Will definitely be back!!

Friendly staff with positive and helpful attitudes. Unfortunately the roast left a little to be desired, a choice between beef or lamb, both were served just about warm and was cold half way through finishing. Being sat by the door was lovely with a little breeze to cool down how warm it was outside, but that did mean any larger parties queuing to order at the bar, particularly with children, were stood with their backs touching our chairs and it felt like we were crowded and being observed whilst trying to enjoy our food. £20 for a roast dinner that served half a carrot, three roast potatoes, a dollop of mixed greens and a veggie purée that was hidden by the massive Yorkshire (although no complaints about this!) felt a little ambitious price wise. There was a healthy serving of meat, although quite fatty and only a very blunt knife to try and tackle it. We were brought a bowl of red cabbage half way through the meal that they had initially forgotten although with the board saying ‘all the trimmings’ we weren’t any the wiser as to what should have been served. A fairly standard roast at an ambitious price. With the lovely beer garden over looking the river at the back, maybe head in for a cold pint and skip the pricey food menu.

Could not fault either the food or service. A group of us stopped the night before my daughters wedding in the Cotswolds Waitress (sorry didn’t catch your name) could not have been more attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Keep up the amazing work. Will definitely be making a return visit.

Due to our walk with our friends we were much later than booked. The staff were lovely and accommodating and luckily they could fit us in. The location is superb, right on the river Windrush and the owners have invested heavily to refurbish all the outside and the inside without loosing the Cotswold ‘olde worlde’ character. The food was very good:-the BBQ meat pie, made by the the cook on site, was delicious, a real treat The staff were very friendly and welcoming A day well spent by the 4 of us

Disappointing not being able to eat outside when the weather was perfect and location was main reason for choice of venue! This was apparently because of a wasp problem although there were wasps inside (I killed two at the table!) and I didn’t encounter any outside! Instead we were inside which was very crowded, noisy and not what we had hoped for at all. We couldn’t hear each other speak and ate our meal quickly and left. As emails are requested at booking, why couldn’t we have been told there was a wasp problem and given a choice? The food was OK but far too much unappetising, dark green, cos lettuce and not much duck which wasn’t very tasty or well cooked. We probably won’t go there again, which is sad as it used to be a regular.

An interesting menu and the food was good. The waiters were very pleasant and well informed. The bar was a little noisy for those with hearing problems, but generally it was fine. It was a pity we could not eat in the extensive grounds , but there was a wasp issue. I will certainly recommend The Fix to friends.

We did not think that the starters were worth the £9 price tag. Both mains were delicious. Service was pretty slow, mainly due to a large party booking which was unexpected. A few of the menu choices were sold out before we could order them for our 7.30 pm booking which was disappointing.
