Higher Ground is a British bistro and bar located in Manchester city centre that focuses on seasonality within the UK using produce sourced from local suppliers and producers.

The restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday at dinner and at lunchtime on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

At lunch a £40pp seasonal sharing menu is offered alongside an à la carte menu. At dinner, both an à la carte and a seasonal sharing menu at £60pp are available. Both menus are available when sat at the kitchen bar counter.

We often hold space for walk-ins at the kitchen bar counter so pop by and have some plates and a glass of wine!

Reservations of up to twelve guests are accepted via the OpenTable online reservation platform. For parties of 7x guests and over, the seasonal sharing menu is served.

Wonderful fresh creative for, great service.my only beef is the mark up on the wines which was excessive in my opinion. For wines that were not amazing there is virtually nothing less than £50 a bottle. Some of the wines I am more familiar with were 3-4 times the price of the wine.

Loved the food, the attentive service and relaxed atmosphere. Inventive tasty and food value sharing menu for our table of 5. Plenty of food . Great and eclectic wine list with a predominance of funky labels. Overall a must visit . Only criticism is that noise levels were a bit too high (though music was ok). Also as the evening wore on, we felt a little cold due to high aircon. Will definitely be back

Small sharing dishes that don’t leave you wanting more. Open kitchen, set menu and really upbeat staff. There is a menu to choose from, but when so much confidence and camaraderie oozes from the kitchen and staff, they know they have a great product and it doesn’t fail to deliver. Wines are equally wide ranging. Worth every penny and second of you spend in there.

Brilliant food. Great atmosphere. Recognised by all the staff. Very comfortable experience. Little noisy for detailed conversation, but the general "feel" makes up for that.

From simplicity of the 12-month cured beef to the resemblance of a Shepards Pie the Braised Lentils had, the flavors were on point. The bread was fresh, The deserts sensational. Will be coming back again and again.
