Potente is a sophisticated and upscale Italian restaurant located in downtown Houston led by Executive Chef Danny Trace. Every dish is locally sourced and uses only the highest quality ingredients. Try our chef favorite homemade pasta with black truffles shaved table side, petite filet with pistachio gremolata and homemade desserts sure to delight!

    Overall very good experience. First off the service was excellent throughout. Only one negative was my wife’s duck ravioli (she didn’t like it). All other dishes including appetizers were excellent. Also the tiramisu was quite unique.

    We had apps, salads and pastas and shared them all. Everything we had was excellent. The crab agnolotti is not typical but it’s delicious. Wonderful service and awesome wine list with very fancy decanters. Made for a memorable evening.

    I expected more. Even the pasta was mediocre. Huge disappointment. Perhaps it was just a bad night but for the price it was tough to swallow.
