Doesn't quite attract the attention of other Glasgow restaurants but in my opinion this is up there with the best. Having said that they had no notification of our open table reservation, so best to check directly with the restaurant,

This was my fourth visit to the Bistro and each time it was excellent in all aspects -- food, wine, and service. We especially appreciated the sommelier, Antonio, who is a master. His selection of Spanish whites and reds, as well as an outstanding South African red, were perfect complements to the innovative food of the chef. All of my guests were impressed. I highly recommend this west end treasure. The only "negative" is the music, but that might be my lack of appreciation of 1980s rock.

Nice place, very cosy and warm. Service done by very nice people but not very professional. Cuisine not very inventive nor exceptionally good, except the daube which was very good (but the portion far too small). "Menu dégustation" at £69 including a pea and ham soup! At this level of price, you could expect much more.

I've dined at the Hotel du Vin a few times now and had the same experience every time. This is a restaurant that could be great but always manages to fall just short, usually because the service lets it down.

I had dined at number 1 Devonshire Gardens (as it used to be called) many years ago and wanted to see whether it had maintained its quality and appeal under the ownership of Hotel du Vin. I was not disappointed! It was the first visit by my wife and she was also suitably impressed. The food, service and ambiance were all wonderful. We were tempted by the tasting menu which was outstanding and good value. The wine was also sensibly priced. The restaurant offers an experience that can't fail to impress and is perfect for romance and special occasions.

The standard of food is very good, and don't miss the french market buffet - which features some lovely sea food. Let down at the end by slow service as afternoon tea and lunch merged.

Food consistently good and interesting (could have eaten anything on the menu) Comfy bar - dining room let it down a bit. I travel and eat out a lot the service well above average and friendly

Hotel du Vin in Glasgow is situated in the popular West End. The Victorian grandeur of the wood panelled dining room adds to the ambience. Staff are very attentive but at the same time are unobtrusive. The food is high end quality.

Glasgow One Devonshire Gardens. Lunch for two with one glass of champagne each £98 - one of us only had 2 courses - is very expensive! The food was nice but not remarkable - although ours was better than the two tables near us who sent back both the beef dish and the lamb. We got to overhear both of those things happening as we were kept waiting for long periods of time between courses - especially trying to have coffee served (very busy in the kitchen apparently). A poor show for the money.

Used the 25pc discount offer on 31 July making it good value. Food was really good and great wine list. Service could have been a bit quicker later in the evening and got one starter wrong but didn't mind too much as was good. Had a slightly annoying couple next to us but can't blame restaurant for that. Overall great food and would recommend.

Hotel du Vin & Bistro, Glasgow is a polished restaurant, based within a number of ex "Georgian Townhouses". The dining rooms are small, intimate, well furnished with floor to ceiling, bay windows. In general a warm, welcoming place to eat. The lack of "nibbles", whilst studying the Menu and extensive Wine List, was perhaps an oversight. However, the fact, the starter arrived, before the chilled bottle of Chablis, which had been specified for drinking with the starter, is not what we expect.

Hotel du Vin & Bistro. Overall a very nice experience in dining. We decided on being presented with the menus on the £50 per couple selection as we felt there was more choice. The meal and presentation was very good and the waitress looked after us well. Ideal if your looking for a quiet and relaxing night out.

Had a lovely meal at Hotel du Vin Glasgow. Excellent value and choice for £25 and a surprisingly lovely house wine included in that price. I could not fault it although my friend did comment that the food was a bit over salted for her. It was fine for me and I would highly recommend this venue for both food and service..especially the £25 offer.

You know what you get at Hotel Du Vin, 1 Devonshire Gardens, Glasgow. A seamless dining experience, with no faults. The pumpkin veloute & scallop was a delightful starter, with great taste and textures combined. The Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection, leaving no room for sweets !!!! The top table offer made everything taste that little better....., but even if you were paying full price it is a great night out.

One Devonshire was brill. Expected small portions and a limited choice but were pleasantly surprised with our meal. Ham haugh to start -tasty but overly salty. Then the lamb tagine with a free side order. Lamb was fabulous and came on a large plate of it's own accompanied by a bowl of couscous and for me gratin dauphinoise and my wife, french fries. With neat extras like the amuse bouche to start and the sumptuous petit fours it was ideal. Service was excellent. We will return.

I dined at the Hotel du Vin & Bistro in Glasgow with 3 friends for the 1st time on Wednesday. The food was excellent, and fantastic value with the toptable £25 deal. The service was very good, although a wee bit slow between courses, but not a problem as the surroundings and the company were very good. The lamb was the most delicious I have had for a long long time, all in all a fantastic restaurant.
