   Visited with my vegan coeliac teenager. Allergens were clear and she was easily able to select a delicious meal. Service was great, despite it being super busy, and food absolutely scrumptious! Highly recommend.

   I am a big fan of Mildreds and have eaten several times at Soho, Victoria, King’s Cross, Covent Garden and the Pop up Restaurant’s. However, the Covent Garden branch lets the chain down. I had eaten at Covent Garden only the week before. But our experience on Friday night has actually left a very sour taste in our mouths and reluctant to return at all to Mildreds. The wine was served warm and the starters served cold and when asked how everything was by the waitress, I let her know and just asked if she could make sure the mains were warm. This was when it became a terrible experience. Instead of dealing with it professionally the manager became passive aggressive. Unfortunately she didn’t realise my partner could see her interaction with the waitress. She should have come over and just said, don’t worry we will make sure the mains are warm and replace the wine and we would have been happy with that resolution, instead she stomped over ignored us, placed down the cutlery and napkins and rolled her eyes at the waitress and left. At which point I asked to cancel the meal as her behaviour was not appropriate and actually unprofessional. She then began to argue with me. I asked if I could just pay for what we had and leave, I didn’t want a free meal, I just wanted to settle and try and get food elsewhere. It was such a bad experience and she was extremely rude. I asked her name and she told me one name, but then when settling the bill the waitress very innocently told me that was not her name, correcting me. I can only imagine why she felt she needed to hide her name. I have never had such a bad customer experience in a restaurant and won’t be returning. Mildred’s service is normally excellent and I have always enjoyed the experience until now. Unfortunately as this branch the customer base is predominately tourists and not repeat clientele, the service is not to the same standard.

   A beautiful meal served by lovely friendly staff and I’m not even vegetarian- but truly lovely experience- pre theatre 👌

   Beautiful food, excellent service, relaxed atmosphere. Very happy, will definitely consider returning to Mildred's in the future.

   The Hostess Kate made us feel very welcome. She welcomed us in like a friend, very sincerely. Service was great. All staff was helpful and kind. The food was great.

    Great place for pre-theatre dinner but you must book as busy and popular. We had plant-based food that was delicious, healthy and good for planet too. Our non-vegan son enjoyed his meal as well. Two problems only and why not 5 star so hopefully manager will take notice. 1. As a doctor, I like to leave loo without touching handle that everyone else has touched (as many people not hygienic and don't wash hands and door handles are well known sites for germ transmission). I have to use a no-touch technique. The loos here need doors to be opened with handles after washing hands. I manage without but not easy. Staff are probably touching these handles too- so not hygienic. A door or doors that can be pushed outwards, (so with body or back etc) after washing hands, is much better. 2. We were eating pre-dinner and got very worried as had ordered set menu and was very slow to come. delicious, but before you order it, if you are limited for time, let them know. Once I told our lovely waitress that we were in a rush, food did come more quickly, but we felt pressurized for time then. WE will be back though as good food.
