Afternoon tea at the Ritz Carlton NOLA is always a treat. The Devonport Lounge is a very nice setting to enjoy this service, and a professional harpist provides a classy and subdued soundtrack. Our primary server was truly outstanding, but there seemed to be one in training who maybe struggled a bit with English and hadn't yet learned the ropes properly. The teas are wonderful, with a good selection and a teapot that probably serves 6-8 full cups of tea. While the scones were not warm, they were very good and of quality, perfectly paired with the house jam and lemon curd. The only issue I could highlight was that the tea seatings where quite far from the harpist, which made both hearing and seeing her play problematic. And since there is a thoroughfare from a hotel entrance to the lobby, we had experienced a lot of foot traffic which also detracted from our experience. We will, however, continue to do afternoon tea with the Ritz whenever we are in town.

I loved the entire experience. I would have preferred the tea sandwiches a little more traditional. The crab and cornbread was excellent. A turkey or egg salad or cucumber would have been lovely. Combine the uniqueness of the city’s food with the traditional. The ambience and servers could not be any better. I go to tea twice a year at a minimum this will be a regular stop for me.

The Sunday tea was outstanding at Davenport however, the jazz the night before was miserable and lacked customer orientation. It seems Mr Davenport was performing outside the hotel at a private affair making his 8:30 pm appearance at the club null and void. We we told he would be at least one and a half hours late! Too be a "no show" at the jazz club so he could try to fit in another outside event "gig" was an insult to all the folks sitting on their hands waiting for the local entertainer! Not only should he be ashamed but his actions make the Ritz Carlton look like a second rate operation! Someone inform him he is not Dizzy Gillespie or Al Hurt!

I celebrated my birthday with friends and family at afternoon tea on Saturday, March 22. The tea and food were great. We enjoyed the harp player and our server was outstanding!

The service was great as always. We love afternoon tea there. Terriell is our lady! She is amazing. We will be back for Mother's Day!

Food and tea were fine, but service was less than satisfactory. We had to ask for our tea, our food, and a tea cup, as one was missing. Had to ask for refills on both our tea and our water. Not impressed

We had a lovely time at tea! Service was delightful, food delicious and tea excellent. The perfect amount of fanfare was made for the birthday girl.- can’t wait to have another occasion to celebrate!

The worst tea I have ever been too!!! The food, service, and atmosphere were beyond bad. The table was too small that we had to put our food on the floor. We waited for over an hour to be served anything. They did not separate the tea crowd from the bar crowd. It was like being at a bar before a Saints Game. They had no parking onsite. They also gave themselves a 22% tip!!!

This was an outing for the family for the holiday tea. I would not recommend the holiday tea, although I have dined and had drinks at the Davenport lounge outside of this event and it has been spectacular.
