Kind of a rich old person restaurant. I’m fine spending $300-400 on a meal (for just me + wife), but I’d prefer that the food, ambiance, and service was better. Would prefer going to a restaurant like Barcelona, Ilona, Mida, or more.

Bartenders forgot to put our order in. Over an hour later they put it in and lied to our faces repeatedly to string us along for 20 more hours hours minutes. We finally had to ask the manager to remove the items from the bill because we had to leave and they still hadn’t come out. We left hungry and frustrated. Not atypical relative to prior experiences here, it’s really too bad given the proximity to 200 Clarendon.

I love Eggs Benedict and The Banks’ Prosciutto Benedict was perfection. Service was excellent and the ambiance was lovely. Our initial plan was tea at the Library and I’m glad they were fully booked because The Banks was terrific.

Everything was excellent. Waiter even took back my Oyster Martini which i didn't care for and brought me a regular dirty gin martini! Very nice. The jumbo scallops were fantastic if an innovative autumn recipe. Recommend going. It is a bit pricey but seemed about on par with restaurants of its caliber in Boston.

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the wine list was excellent. I had to urgently change the reservation date, and the staff kindly and promptly made the adjustment while providing feedback. Thanks to their professionalism, the business meeting was a great success.
