Nothing quite captures the spirit of a Cornish summer than following a summertime dip in its azure waters with a plate of lusciously fresh local seafood. Happily, that's just the experience to be found here at Hooked on the Rocks, which is just yards from the shore of Swanpool beach near Falmouth.

Visit to experience local, sustainable seafood such as Falmouth Bay scallops, Falmouth Bay lobster or crab, whole fish from Newlyn Fish Market or a Shellfish Platter to share, all designed to satiate the appetite of any sandy‑toed gourmet.

Dogs are welcome in our heated awning area or on our sea view terrace.

We love our food and this has to be up there with one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at!! Food as exceptional, the service was amazing and the location was beautiful!! Would highly recommend!

Went here based off great reviews online and friends. It was good, food was nice lots of seafood options. Wine menu was decent. Service was excellent. But few things, there should be more included with a shellfish platter for 2 sharing at £64. A bit of lobster, some fresh homemade doorstop bread. It was GOOD, not excellent. I have had better for a similar price. Anyway overall, great restaurant, amazing location, fantastic service.

Quite an expensive- mains come with no accompaniments so you have to buy them separately which makes most mains close to £40. Only one vegetarian option which was poor! No children’s menu. The staff were dressed very scruffy for an evening services most with denim shorts on. Service was okay but wasn’t very tentative and waiting a long time to be cleared and get the bill. Compared to other offerings in the area the food choice and service isn’t the greatest unfortunately.

Ate in the restaurant at 6.15 .. beautiful evening stunning views attentive staff fabulous food. Started sharing Mussels in wine & cream delicious then Megrim Sole with skinny fried .. absolutely cooked to perfection. Thoroughly recommended

Warm welcome from front of house. Shown to our table and advised on gluten free options with no hesitation. Waiting staff friendly but had an issue with space as put on a small table for 2 and ordered the sharing sea food platter which was a problem given we had drinks, water jug, shell bowl, hand bowls, flowers and cutlery so had to sit things on the bench next to my partner. Platter was slightly disappointing given the cost as was largely made up of mussels with a couple of scallops. The sauce was lacking flavour as was some bread to sit along side it to drip in afterwards. Fries were nice as was the accompanying aioli dip. We ordered another set of drinks but they weren’t brought over so had to go to the bar to request them, to which they said they’d forgotten to get them. All in all, we didn’t feel £94 meal with just a shared main and 2 drinks each plus a cramped table wasn’t worth the money spent.
