   We enjoyed our first visit to Vito’s Osteria. I am vegetarian, and had aubergine parmigiana, which was delicious. My partner is gluten free, he had risotto which was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a very full restaurant with several Christmas parties. The staff gave us a table as far from noisy tables as possible. The restaurant is an attractive space.

   Amazing food, great atmosphere, staff were very attentive and always on hand to help, but also allowed time to choose what we wanted to eat without feeling under pressure.

   Second time visiting. Amazing food. The ambiance is sooo good. Lovely decor and the staff are so accompanying. Special shout out to Claire who was our server this evening. We will definitely be back.

   I recently dined at Vitó’s Osteria near the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, and it was an unforgettable Italian experience. For starters, I opted for the Bresaola Carpaccio, a beautifully balanced dish of thinly sliced cured beef dressed with lemon juice, olive oil, and a generous sprinkle of grated Parmesan. The simplicity of the ingredients allowed each flavor to shine—a perfect introduction to the meal. The main course, Spezzatino di Manzo, was the highlight. This slow-cooked beef stew, infused with carrots, bay leaves, and tender potatoes, embodied comfort and depth. The rich flavors were elevated by the addition of homemade Tuscan bread, perfect for soaking up the delicious sauce. It felt like a warm hug from Italy. To finish, I indulged in the Torta di Mele, a delightful apple tart served with creamy vanilla ice cream. The tart was perfectly baked with a subtle sweetness, and the ice cream added a cooling contrast—a flawless ending to a fantastic meal. Vitó’s Osteria truly captures the heart of Italian cuisine with authentic dishes and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sunderland!

   Second time here and it is a very enjoyable dining experience. Our party all enjoyed the food, drinks, ambiance and the Vito staff make it an even better experience. Highly recommend.

    A lovely restaurant, the service was excellent, very helpful & professional staff. They checked on us numerous times during our meal. The food was beautifully presented & tasted wonderful. Cocktails were fabulous! The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, it felt intimate for a large space. Overall, an excellent experience, would highly recommend & we will definitely return.
