  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
  • Great for fine wines
Bistro du Midi's cuisine features French Cuisine inspired by Coastal New England influences. Our wine list represents the true soul of a bistro wine list. In a classic French bistro, wine is very much a part of every meal. As such, we offer a variety of experiences and wines at a tremendous value in a range of prices. Our elegant yet relaxed environment overlooks Boston's beautiful Public Garden with a spectacular view. A street level Bistro features floor-to-ceiling windows, and in the spring and summer our patio provides some of the most optimal al fresco dining in the city.

The food was pretty good- the mussels were notably amazing. Our only issue was the meal was not well timed. Large gaps of time between ordering or being checked on made the meal drag on, and we were tired from traveling. I think the waiter forgot our dessert. No one checked on our table for about 45 minutes- I would have just canceled it so we could be on our way but he was nowhere to be found. Eventually dessert came, but it wasn’t worth the wait at that hour.

Dined on Sunday, 10/6/2024. Roland, our waiter, was excellent. Made great suggestions and was attentive but not obtrusive. Support team made sure water was never empty and stayed on top of table maintenance. The food/cocktails were excellent. Tried both the tuna and steak tartare—great flavor and plating was on point. Ribeye and filet were delicious, broccolini was an excellent accompaniment. The ambiance of the dining room is incredible. Perfect for a date night or special occasion. They have a private room as well as a table by the large window with a great view of the Common. Will recommend and hope to be back soon.
