Welcome to Murray's Restaurant. Minneapolis' original restaurant for steak since 1946 & home of the award winning Silver Butterknife Steak dinner for two. Also known for mouth watering garlic toast, Hickory Smoked shrimp appetizer, and home baked pies. Well into its third generation of family ownership, Murray's stands out among local and out of town diners alike as a true Twin Cities landmark & continues to provide the best in food and service as it did in 1946.

    Murray’s is always very dependable. Steak is incredible. A lot of the sides are great although can be a little rich so try to vary what you order. Service is always great, too. We had the raspberry pie and the coconut cream pie for dessert and they were both excellent.

    Amazing experience, both the service and environment were incredible. The peppercorn steak was fantastic as were the sides. The ribeye was mediocre but the service and everything else made up for it!

    Great experience. The history of the restaurant, evidenced by the photos along the entrance foyer, set the stage for the meal. The meal and service were exceptional. It's easy to see why this place has been here since 1946. Definitely will come back next time I'm in Minneapolis.

    Dinner with my kid at college. She was craving steak and Murray’s was perfect. The Brussels sprout appetizer was perfectly crispy with a lovely kick. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were great. Definitely a splurge but worth it. Service was wonderful. Many thanks to Austin, who was a great server. If you are craving a cocktail you can’t go wrong with the Basil Thyme.
