Servers were very attentive and knowledgable. Menu was good. Food was great. Timing between appetizers and entrees was pretty much perfect!
It’s a pub style restaurant, but the food was very good. I got a very interesting zoodle bowl that was delicious! Casual and comfortable atmosphere. Def with the visit!
Love it here! In July we hope to have a small family reunion here. Something for everyone on the menu
Everything our table ordered was top notch. Some interesting food choices too.
Great food, very accommodating and friendly! Our party of 11 was very happy!
We had quite a nice meal here, travelling through the state and this was a convenient stop while we stayed at the nearby Wick. We were not looking to spend a fortune and the online menu offered many choices and pleasantly modest prices.
It's a cute place, a casual bar, dark with lots of old wood, so if you like that vintage bar feel you'll like it. The tables were near the bar, and the place was somewhat loud even at 6pm on a Thursday night, but we could hold a conversation. The staff were not officious, and not indifferent, they were happy to serve us, nothing bothered them, and I personally appreciated the absence of hovering and the spiel about "my name is ____ and I'll be taking care of you..." They were pleasant and did their job without a lot of fanfare.
Take a look at the photos of our meal. The onion soup (my husband got) was "delicious." I had a generous house salad, fresh, lots of tomatoes and carrots, and devoid of croutons as I like it. My salmon was good, but it didn't really seem like "parmesan encrusted salmon" so much as salmon with some parmesan sprinkled on, maybe a teaspoon. The spinach was fresh, and just fine, but a bit watery. That said, it was a good meal and $19. My spouse's Schnitzel was good as well -- memorable? Not really, but we both left satisfied.
The light right over our table kept cutting out, and a lady sitting next to us had a persistent and (I'm sorry) gross cough. The latter is no one's fault.
Bottom line? It met our needs and I'm sure we would go again -- comfortable, good quality food and unfussy surroundings.
This is a very friendly place with really good food at reasonable prices. I highly recommend the Jaeger Schnitzel, the fried Green tomatoes and the Shrimp appetizer. Sit at the bar and you can meet some of the locals.
The food is consistently good here. I tried something new - the smoked pork chop and it was excellent! Service was good also
What a nice place. Great service, great menu options for kids and a great value overall.
We are consistently pleased here! Excellent, creative menu..great choices..great quality. Even the pickiest eater can find something here!
From burgers to zoodles and in between!
Awesome meal e fry trip there!!!!!
We are regulars at Wunderbar Bistro and have found the food and service to be consistently very good. My only complaint from this visit is that I ordered a portobello mushroom burger and the burger consisted of only one mushroom. I thought it was a meager sized serving.
The food was ok but the noise, crowded tables and us having to remind the waitstaff three times about getting us a water dropped the rating down. Also, a Cosmo should not be red, but a pale, pale pink.
Love this place, great food at a decent price for Hudson.
My friend and I were visiting this area from the city and came across this restaurant from a google search. We were not disappointed. When we got there, we were greeted by a friendly waitstaff and were seated right away. There was a very nice ambiance to the restaurant. I ordered a beer and my friend a soda which were brought out immediately. For dinner, I ordered the Wunderbar Meatloaf and my friend a pasta & chicken bowl. Both plates were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back here on our next stay in Hudson!
We were in town for the weekend, and went straight to Hudson to grab lunch after a long drive up from NYC. Stopped by to have a hearty lunch. Inside looks more bar like then bistro, but the staff was very friendly and our orders were promptly taken. My wife and I ordered the Jalapeno burger which honestly was one of the best burgers we have had, and we have eaten some of the best supposed burgers around. Frankly, we were a little shocked. The burger was perfectly cooked and like most, did not have the heavy greasy flavor and texture we have come to expect, even though it was packed with friend onions. Great kids menu as well. Our daughters both got the shrimp and rice, but substituted the pasta for the rice, which again was just pasta at the end of the day, but extremely tasty. Clearly not the typical microwaved slop given to children when ordering pasta. Cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was good too. Our kids our very picky and they loved it. We really enjoyed our meal and highly recommend this place.
The Wunderbar provides attentive service and great food at a good price. It’s our go to for a casual and fun night out with family.
Truly Gluten Friendly with an incredible selection of options. Food is always great, and the best chicken wings outside of Buffalo hands down!
Sat at table requested! Best ambiance, attentive wait staff, fantastic food delivered with limited wait time. Some of the bar clientele were loud and detracted from our experience. Will still go back. One of our favorites.
Top notch service and the window seat! Great food.
The service was slow but they were crowded. Otherwise everything was acceptable.
We were very happy with choices and service. Large potions a real value for Hudson NY this days.
Everything was good but the French fries were the best I have had in a long time.
Great food, informal atmosphere, a little noisy, but friendly.
Excellent food and exceptional service! This place is an absolute must if you are looking for something a little different and absolutely delicious! I give this place a 20 out of 10!
Know exactly what they are doing. Great food, great drinks , professionally served.
Nothing silly or affected. A welcoming restaurant that takes care of its customers. A great treat !
Our most recent visit was on a lively, noisy, busy Wednesday night. Really like the menu selection - large, but all is done very nicely. We enjoyed the bacon wrapped shrimp, a grilled chicken sandwich with amazing sweet potato fries and one of the schnitzel dishes. We had some house sauvignon blanc by the glass and were too full for dessert. It was a very busy night so service was a bit slow, but everyone was working so hard to accommodate the large crowd, we really didn't mind. Great selections, fresh, nicely prepared and delicious. We'll be back!
Godd food and low key dining. The schnitzel was fabulous!
The food was very good. I had their chicken fried steak special which was excellent. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. The only issue I had was that our table was very close to another table and I had to squeeze into my seat. Overall it was very good and we will return
Wunderbar is a gem. There were seven of us, and everyone truly enjoyed their meal. The service was great, and ambiance is perfect for a cozy night out.
Stopped in for a bite after an afternoon of shopping. Service was great, friendly staff, food was good, real comfort food. Great for a dank day as it was. I will be back to try some more dishes
Our favorite restaurant!! ❤️ Value, assortment of tastes, excellent staff and wonderful service.
The food, the staff, the ambience.... Could not ask for a better place to eat and hang out! 😄
Could not be better. The food is absolutely fine. They do not overreach. They do what they do very well. Few area restaurants offer this quality and consistency. We are lucky they care so much.
I seem to always get the Zoodle Bowl with blackened salmon. Amazing! Great food for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!
Corn chowder could of been a bit thicker with a bit more flavor.
This place has it all - great food, great staff, great service. We come regularly because of all of the above. Highly recommend it!
We love Wunderbar Bistro because the food is consistently delicious, no matter what you order. This time I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it was so good! Loved the apple slaw, the raspberry jam and the local honey for dipping. The menu is reasonably priced. I also really enjoy the different sangrias on offer and the bar staff will make up whatever you would like. We always have very attentive and helpful wait staff.
A special dinner with family, and everyone enjoyed everything - the food and the service, and the atmosphere are always excellent!
I kept adding more people until we got up to 9! They had a large round table in the back near the fireplace and it was wonderful! The food was excellent!! We ordered wings and onion soup, and BLT's, waffle fries (to die for), burgers etc. The portions were HUGE!! The staff were all pleasant and attentive! I look forward to going back there next time we are in town!
