Clos Maggiore is an oasis of calm in the heart of Covent Garden. Influenced by the stylish country inns of Provence and Tuscany its unique interiors create a warmth and intimacy enjoyed by both business and private parties. The conservatory has a fully retractable glass roof creating a bright and airy dining space. Our extensive cellar at Clos Maggiore includes over 2,000 labels and was extended earlier this year to include an additional 400 wines at a low – mid price range. We are very proud to have been awarded the “Best of Award of Excellence” consistently since 2003 by Wine Spectator.

    Nice meal in unique surrounds. The food was good, particular highlights including the venison, beef and a chocolate soufflé. Took circa 15 mins to get our table. Not a big issue and they brought us a glass of fizz (though why Prosecco I’ve no idea) while we waited. The food is sensibly priced and if you look very hard there’s the odd bottle which is too, though I do think the mark-up on most of the list is beyond the pale even by London standards. Overall, a jolly evening.

    This restaurant is more about style than substance. Some of the wait staff were friendly, others pretentious. The pre-theater menus are indeed a good deal, but otherwise the a la carte menu is obviously more expensive and the options challenging. We had to wait almost half an hour to be seated for our reserved time although we arrived promptly. Table was located at a banquet in the corner and we felt rather stuffed in. Had to hand plates as waiters could not reach in.

    Celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary at Clos Maggiore and had a table in the main restaurant by the fire , restaurant is stunning and food is amazing, a truly beautiful evening ended with a gift from the chef

    Everything was just lovely, had to change my booking from 12 to 12.30 but it was no problem. Food was great, could come with a bit more sides but that’s only a minor suggestion. Beautiful presentation and service was very good without being over the top. 5 stars
