Seasonal Local American Cuisine. We use many local products from local farmers. We are located about a mile west of the University of Virginia campus. Historic old home turned into a restaurant. Three small intimate dining rooms upstairs, one on the ground floor and a large weather protected patio. In the winter the Patio is heated. Family owned since 1995. Special diet needs met upon request.

Our entire experience was excellent. Started with mushroom caramelized onion tart that was delicious with a crispy light crust. The Maryland Crabcake and Pork Ribeye were spot on, along with the southern collards. The finally was the cream brulee that had a perfect crunchy topping. Loved it all. And appreciated that they had reasonably priced bottles of wine. Will definitely be back.

The culinary experience was exquisite: amuse bouche, fresh bread, high quality butter. Creative menu very hard to choose from as all plates look like a must. Our waiter Kyle was prompt, discreet and helpful ! The decor was fantastic… We will be back!

Meh. Did not live up to the hype. Service good at first. Then we waited what seemed like a very long time for our entries. I was quite hungry by then so I had to ask for an extra piece of bread. We were on the patio that only had a few people while the main restaurant inside was quite busy. So maybe they got caught up dealing with the crowd. My crab cake was excellent while my wife's pan-fried trout was overcooked and dry. This was a big anniversary for us so I told them about it when I made the reservation. I also called to remind them just before we left the house (20 minutes away). I wasn't looking for a freebee, I just wanted to make it a little more special for my wife. However they made no mention of the special occasion at any time during our visit. If you're searching for a place to celebrate a special occasion in C'ville, keep looking.

Had a lovely birthday dinner here. All members of my party loved their dishes- gnocchi, crab cake, and trout. We also all enjoyed dessert of sticky toffee pudding and brownies. Our server was great and I highly recommend coming here.

An excellent Anniversary dinner! Katie, our server, was ideal, and very enthusiastic. Our dinner included the Burrata, She Crab Soup, Crabcake, and my favorite, the Mountain Trout. All cooked to perfection, and well worth the prices. Ended with the Key Lime Pie. Ivy Inn consistently does it to perfection!
