What Insiders Are Saying
Another Jose Andres spot with solid tapas. Head to Zaytinya for a power lunch that doesn’t feel like a power lunch.
My favorite place to eat in DC for over 10 years.
I had another great experience at zatinya ! The restaurant week menu was amazing , and the portions were huge ! This is hands down my favorite restaurant in DC and I would recommend it to anyone.
Love the Food here, always will! But they need to work on their servers!
Loved the food and service!
I absolutely love Zatinya's and have gone several times. It's usually very good service and always amazing food. While my restaurant week experience was suboptimal, it remains my favorite restaurant in DC and I highly recommend it to anyone, especially as a great place for taking out of town friends.
Went here for restaurant week and it was a great deal! They even had a restaurant week cocktail and some wines by the glass special price. I love Jose Andreas and although this restaurant has been around for a while, it still hits the mark! Definitely try some lamb dishes and the hummus is still as great as it ever was!
Food was delicious. Every dish was a treat. Excellent service. Loved it!!
My first time for dinner on Saturday, July 13 was wonderful—that is why we went back on Friday, August 16 for lunch.
But the luch was very poor. Not one of the six of us was impressed.
The young lady who served our able was very good and we properly tipped her. The bad food was not her fault.
In deep disappointment
Celebrated my mom’s birthday. The food was amazing and the waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely come back soon.
Restaurant Week— great food, great value, spectacular experience!
Food is excellent, service is swift. Only problem is the chaos inside. Lástima!!!
Went to Zaytinya for DC Restaurant Week and was wowed by every item on the menu. The service was outstanding even though the place was packed! Love this restaurant
I have been there several times and it is always delicious. Great place for friends and families to eat and bond
Great food, excellent service, Ulysses was great!
Wow. Absolutely delicious.
Restaurant week at the Zatinya is a dining experience you need to relish. The menu was very diverse and we were able to pick different items to sample among the three of us. The spanakopitas were ordered extra and very tasty. The eggplant appetizer and hummus have wonderful flavors. The shrimp and lemon butter looks great I did not try however my friend enjoyed them. I had the steak and it was cooked medium. It was season nicely and the tomato purée around the state was wonderful. I was not a fan of the walnut ice cream. But the baklava ice cream was to die for.
Delicious food. Slow
Food is absolutely amazing but it is really noisy at that time, making it hard to talk to my friend.
Food was kind of mediocre though we did go during restaurant week. Acoustics are such that it is extremely loud even in the dining area. Crowd is mostly tourists and 20-somethings.
Consistent food and amazing cocktail list as always!
We came for Restaurant Week and the place was understandably hectic. We were seated later than the reservation time, but the service from the staff was outstanding through the entire night. Once we were seated, food was served warm and at a good pace. Every server was nice and helpful. The food itself was yummy, though did not necessarily wow us in comparison to the many alternatives in DC. We did love the taramosalata, Brussels sprouts, and the Kotopoulo Youvetsi (chicken with orzo). We would come back for the atmosphere and outdoor seating.
Great dining experience! Went for Restaurant Week. Staff was very attentive and the food was outstanding.
Yes- because i was there for lunch and had a good experience and the food was really good.
My dinner experience was below par.
Service was not good. Waiter was not aware that we did not get our drinks for 30 min+ and they started servicing food. It was not organized and disappointed in the evening.
This restaurant is always one of my absolute favorites!! The warm pita just keeps coming, along with its yummy dip. The variety of dishes is fun. My date and I like to share a variety of small plates--hummus, falafel, beef, chicken, pilaf. I haven't had one yet that wasn't delicious!! And a ginger beer to wash it all done. Great outside seating too!
I had not been here in years, and it was just as good as I remembered it!
This place is always on point. Restaurant week is very busy though.
Vegetarian options are boring and all very soft, like baby food. It seems that the restaurants in US have too many options all average. The Chef should know their specialty a good restaurant should not have more than ten dishes that are proven to be excellent, this is called editing
We visited a few years ago and we were excited to return. Unfortunately we picked a very busy night! The food was good and the service was excellent. However, it was so noisy! We couldn’t really talk to each other.
We were a party of 3 and arrived within the 15 extra minutes, but our table was already given away and we had to wait additional 30 minutes and had to speak with the manager to finally be seated. We were offered a drink on the house, and the dinner was pleasant, but the seating experience was not nice.
One of my favorite restaurants in DC. The food is fresh, the unending supply of hot, fresh, pita bread is awesome, and the servers are very friendly. It's just a great place to take a group, celebrate a birthday, get a table for two or enjoy a cocktail. Would highly recommend.
This is a delicious and special treat...highly recommend!!!
It's expensive but good food......................
We went during restaurant week and a fixed price menu.
Spectacular food as always and even more phenomenal value. Waitress Niki... was awesome. It was a 5 Star experience for us.
My first time and great experience. Will def be back!
Food was excellent as always. Disappointingly slow service, perhaps because of restaurant week.
Great selection of Mediterranean food done very well by Jose Andre and his team. Fantastic!
We had a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance was busy but not too loud. The food was very good.
Excellent service and best meal in DC.
Food was great and I loved my cocktail. Service was a bit more gruff and less friendly than other Jose Andres establishments and I was disappointed that my Opentable note about a birthday candle in dessert wasn’t noted and followed. I also had to ask for water refills multiple times.
