Delicious meal, Mussels with bacon/blue cheese sauce were outstanding. Seafood chowder and main dish (grilled scallops) were also very tasty. Ulysses, gave us good service!

Enjoyed a delicious dinner at Jonathan’s. The bread with blueberry butter was great. Food was fresh and delicious. Dessert blueberry crisp was great. Steep prices for the entrees.

Awful food awful service highly overpriced for what you get and the whole atmosphere was terrible. Charged us $15 for a dinner salad and $14 extra to add a small grilled chicken breast 😳 husband had baked stuffed haddock-came to us with boxed mashed potatoes and the fish was drenched, wet and tasteless like it was previously made then frozen again then reheated. There was certainly NO GARDEN VEGES in any of our plates including the salads. Daughter had a Cesar salad with basically the ends of all the lettuce, romaine was all light yellow not even green and small boxed croutons and two shreds of Parmesan cheese. For her salad lack of dressing as well very dry and another $14 extra for a very small breast of chicken. EXTREMELY HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PLACE. WILL NEVER RETURN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND AS A RESTAURANT TO VISIT. Might as well throw your hard earned money in a fire and watch it burn then visit this place. Complained to the waiter just before paying and he did nothing to make any of it right. Hope their doors shut for good soon!

The whole experience was unlike what I expected for Ogunquit. There was nothing about that felt we were in a beach community. We waited 20 minutes to meet our waiter. The mussels were excellent. The calamari was disappointing. Nothing like the photos. They came in a mini fryotator with few calamari. I got the Maine seafood pasta. There was one little neck, four shrimp and 1/2 of a one pound lobster. We were there to celebrate my friend’s birthday. It was in the reservation on open table. They brought the dessert (crème broulee) and said happy anniversary. It was his birthday. Very disappointing experience. I had high hopes.

When we entered the restaurant the greeter said to wait just a minute and he would seat us. Right after that a woman asked about a coupon or something. The greet went into the office just off the foyer. We stood and waited about 15 minutes and he was still in the office handling something. No biggie. A young girl arrived and we told her he was suppose to seat us and she did take us to the table. Well this is the part that was just okay. I asked for a Pinot Grigio and he “thought” they were out. He did not bother to check. Saturday night at 6:30 on a holiday weekend and they are out of a popular white??? So I chose another that I really did not want. He also said, this was his 2nd night on the job. I said, well everyone has a 1st/2nd night. But I figured it was going to be slow and it was. He brought us our appetizers. I had the fried Calamari. It was fried alright. Most of it was just crust since what calamari was underneath was gone and it was suppose to have pickled peppers. If there was some then they were fried out of existence. My entree arrived. I had the Wild Mushroom Pappardelle. My husband had the Mediterranean Pasta. As we were served we asked the waiter for some parmesan cheese. He said he would bring it. Well, we waited and waited and no cheese. So we figured we would eat the pasta while it was still hot. When we asked for the check he finally came by with the cheese. The pastas were good but nothing to write home about since both were $35 each. That’s pretty hefty for just pasta and mushrooms…..no meat with the mushrooms.

Have been dining at Jonathan's since 1989 and always had a good experience. The ambiance and meals are always prepared and presented in fine culinary fashion. Jonathan is a hands on owner/chef who takes great pride in his restaurant and values his customers. His menus have always been diversified from year to year. His waitstaff, especially Luigi and Ulyses, are top notch and a credit to the restaurant. Joe N.

Our waiter Luigi was terrific. Very personable and attentive. Food was amazing. The steak tips with bourbon and brown sugar delectable. Top off with hot blueberry crisp with maple walnut ice cream the perfect ending👌 This restaurant is a must go when in Ogunquit.

My husband and I spent 4 nights in Ogunquit over the past 2 months. We dined at Jonathan’s 3 out of the 4 nights. My 3 meals were short ribs, lobster ravioli and tenderloin tips in bourbon sauce. Each meal was outstanding! My husband had seafood all 3 nights, and he was equally impressed….although once he tasted the tenderloin tips he wished he had ordered them instead. Don’t hesitate to try Jonathan’s!
