Uhh. UCB was ya like you
So, my wife and I were so excited to see one of our favorite bands ever that we travelled from Florida to see them at HOB Boston. You can imagine how disappointed we were to get to the door only to be turned away for a last minute private party. Now, we understand that these things happen but there was no notification whatsoever and the “manager” acted like he didn’t really care. Nothing says “you, your business, and your special occasion doesn’t matter” quite like this experience. Show was great and venue was excellent but the restaurant experience didn’t even get the chance to rise to the level of pathetic. Hope they get a lot of return private parties because they’ve lost our business.
Went for the Tove lo concert. The fried pickles were good. And the pulled pork was ok, the highlight was the coleslaw for me. Nothing special.
Good food. Good service!
My wife and I had tickets to see “The Dead South” and decided to eat at the Restaurant for convenience. This was our first visit and we really didn’t know what to expect. We were able to grab a seat at the bar and we ordered an appetizer first, we got the “Honey Hot Wings” they were so delicious! I ordered the grilled Chicken sandwich and my wife ordered the Salmon. The chicken was great! The Salmon was a bit under cooked but, my with had never had Salmon before and was unsure as to how it’s cooked and ordered, they took it back remade the dish and took the cost off our bill!! We didn’t even ask them to do that! I will definitely go back and recommend to others! Only wish I lived a bit closer, would love to have the wings sooner rather than later!!
Service was great. Menu limited as compared to other HOB locations but was very good. An enjoyable evening.
Enjoyed our dinner before the bosstones show. New menu from last time and everything was very good Service was also very good. I would eat there again.
Food was ok. Pretty standard burger and fries. But good place to eat before a show for the “pass the line” tickets we received that allowed us to skip the massive line trying to get into the venue.
Just say no! The only reason you'd go here is to skip the line for a HOB show. It's not worth it; freezing outside is a better option. Everyone who sat after us was served before us. 7:55pm waiter said it would be five more minutes...the show started at 8pm. Then had the nerve to chase us and ask us to pay for the 3 drinks we ordered. I politely said no and walked into the concert. Opentable, if ever there was a reason to de-list a restaurant, all these 1-star ratings are it.
Great option to have dinner before a concert. Would like to have more healthy food options.
Stopped by for dinner before “Bonham” concert. The steak and mushroom quesadillas and caprese salad were delicious!
Nice place. Main course option was so limited, I only ordered from the appetizer section.
Ambiance was wonderful
The convenience of being able to make a reservation and then getting in to the show ahead of the line was FANTASTIC!
Okay for a before concert bite and to cut the door line, but the service was slow and food just okay.
Definitely the place to go if attending a show. The food was reasonable, the staff friendly and we were able to "cut the line" for the show. Great night!
Had a great time. Food was fantastic. Service was excellent.
If it’s all about location then eat here - House of Blues is in the heart of Landsdowne Street which is ideal. Service was friendly and not rushed. The food was just ok but not terrible. Music was way too loud.
Convenient location right across the ball park. Great ambiance inside and out. Food serving sizes were good. Quick service.
Great Venue directly behind the ball park and excellent food.
Food was good and very convenient to eat before the concert. Love it!
Great being right across from Fenway, easy access. Had a good time and a good meal. Only concern was that the server and bartender were unable to answer questions about the ABV values of the various beers I was interested in. It would be helpful if the ABVs were printed on the beer menu.
We had dinner at House of Blues - Boston before a show. There was a Red Sox game that night and the bar was absolutely. House of Blues did a very good job at monitoring the crowd. The restaurant/bar was at fire code capacity and very, very loud. The service was prompt and attentive. The food was average, but convenient. Be prepare for a noisy bat crowd if it is a game night!
Normally service is excellent. Our waitress was distracted and harried. I had to flag her down and request the bill twice, which made us late for the concert.
Our food was basically "pub" food but it was good and our waitress was very attentive. The concert hall is way bigger than I thought it would be and loaded with 3 bars per floor. Good acoustics also.
First time at this location. It is very small, unlike any other HOB I’ve visited. Menu is limited, prices are high-but typical for HOB. We ate early dinner, with a nearly empty room, yet food took about 20 minutes to arrive and server came by zero times during the wait. If a restaurant is not busy, there’s no excuse for servers to be socializing near bar instead of checking on patrons at least by eye contact. After dinner we went to a concert next door, which was very full but orderly and had attentive bar servers.
Waitress was very friendly and seemed super busy
Ordered cheeseburger with crispy bacon - didn’t get bacon
Ordered onion rings - they were excellent!
Ordered margarita flat bread - took one bite - was disgusting! All tomatoes and the little list piece of cheese on each slice - we took one bite and said we didn’t like it
Waitress took the $1.00 bacon off
But not the pizza
Didn’t want to complain about it not coming off - I wanted to continue to enjoy our night - we left and went elsewhere immediately after
Surprisingly good food. Great place to go when seeing a show - skip the line into the venue!
Great food, cool environment.
I was celebrating my fiancé’s birthday with dinner and a show. It was all great!
Sara was a doll. She was very attentive and kind. We will definitely return and hopefully sit in her station.
Great location to grab a quick meal before a Red Sox game. The menu is somewhat limited compared to other locations, but our food was served pretty quick and hot.
The staff at the House of Blues went above and beyond. The service was excellent and the staff were all helpful and pleasant.
The food was very salty. We got our appetizer at the same time as our meal.
I’ve been to so many HOB. San Diego and Chicago are my favorites! Since I live in the Boston area I had high hopes and couldn’t have been more disappointed. Only positive Waitstaff and Bartenders are friendly. Everything else was terrible..... the place was pretty empty and it took forever for a waiter to come over then took twice as long to get our drinks delivered. We got our appetizer BEFORE our drinks! And it was traaaaasssh. The place makes a mint and it looks like a hole in the wall bar from the Combat Zone days.
We had heard of you eat theee before the show they will let you cut line.....WRONG! At least the Concert was fantastic. I would def see another show there but eat somewhere else.
before SEEING A SHOW GREAT IDEA TO EAT THERE INSTEAD OF STANDING IN THAT LONG LINE GIVES YOU ACCESS IF YOU SPEND AT LEAST 15 BUCKS

The restaraunt was fantastic ! Gary Clark Jr. was fantastic ! The Venue was GOD AWFUL COLD !!! I have been ill for 3 days now after the HORRIBLE experience of how COLD it was !!! I have no idea how you feel keeping it so uncomfortably cold upsrairs makes everyone on the floor happy ...absolutely TERRIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could go on and on and on and on about this ! The meal and show were fantastic. But SERIOUSLY HOB Management ...Figure out the HVAC situation.
We always enjoy going to the HOB Restaurant prior to seeing a show
Horrible service, waited 40 mins for a drink. Never saw the server. Other tables around ours were also complaining. The only good thing out of this meal was VIP entrance for show at House of Blues.
Amazing as always!!! Food was better than ever! I want to commend the gentleman who was running food Saturday night. I ordered pulled pork with GF bread (not an allergy but an intolerance/ sensitivity) he brought me my meal and said here is ur pulled pork on GF bread and he leaft. This bread looked way to good to be GF however I assumed it was since he annouced it. As soon as i picked up my sandwich i saw him fly down the back stairway run to my table and grabbed my arm just as i was about to take a bite. At first i was startled but then I was very grateful for his immediate attention to correct this and though I do not have celiac or nor would have become very ill just some stomache discomfort he took my sensitivity very seriously and made sure to rush(run) back to table. Very appreciative because if i were someone with celiac i could have become very ill. So thank you!! Service was excellent!
