Fishworks - Swallow Street
This chic stylish restaurant is only minutes away from the bustle of Piccadilly hidden away in an exclusive street. The whole restaurant opens its glass window façade doors creating a fantastic atmosphere great for corporate dining and enjoying a pre-theatre meal before hitting the West End.
Blackboards display our daily landings or diners can choose from our classic menu with delights such as piled-high fruits de mer, scrumptious South Coast scallops or simply the best gourmet cod and chips you will ever taste!

Warm welcome, very good service and nice food in central London, not something easy to come across! I met my son late after work and the relaxing atmosphere was a bonus.
Great food and location :)
We Had a booking for 6 pm. Arrived at the restaurant on time, requested for the set menu and we were told that the set menu was not available anymore - it was 6:02 pm.
Didn’t feel that the staff made an effort to understand the situation. The food was okay. We had the gnocchi and the seafood platter. Both were good but the fish was not completely fresh. The dessert is good.
It was so nice I will definitely return the fish was so good and the location was nice please have a look and Check my review on insta @munchwithb
Fresh fish and crisp white cold white wine ~ a wonderful dinner and calm surroundings. Save room for the deserts!
Unfortunately the crab in the seafood platter was not fresh. The manger readily agreed to swap it for lobster which was absolutely fine. Wines excellent and good service but left feeling disappointed because of the crab wasn’t right.
At Fishworks you will not get the most creative cuisine but just good fresh ingredients well prepared, great service and advice making you feel welcomed and a very convenient location steps from Picadilly Circus.
Whole fish was not fresh, over cooked and far too pricey at £65/kg for very so sofarmed sea bass.
I am shocked to be so disappointed. I haven’t had such a bad meal in London for years. We had a shearing seafood platter with sad looking oysters, cold deep fried calamari and monkfish and cold tasteless overcooked sea bas and sea brim. The manager was trying to do everything possible to make us happy but what can you do when the food is horrible. Such a shame to have such an awful sea food meal in seafood restaurants.
Unfortunately, Fishworks doesn’t work any more...
I would definitely recommend Fishworks to a friend. The food was fantastic.
I have only one recommendation to you - when somebody has a birthday and writes this in the reservation, it would be nice if you prepare a surprise for this person.
Very pleasant, as usual. The food was superb, both in quality and execution. We went there on Mother's Day and had fish soup, mussels and fritto misto.
Wonderful flavors and friendly atmosphere.
They seemed to be a bit understaffed which stretched the staff they did have. The waitress we did have and who was lovely, disappeared halfwaybtheough the evening.
Food was OK, but not hot.
went here for anniversary meal and it was fantastic...had fresh dressed crab and wife had seafood platter...excellent food and excellent staff
Hi PeterW, Thank you for your lovely review. We are really pleased to hear you had a fantastic time at Fishworks and enjoyed your meal. We are looking forward to see you soon! Rea and The Fishworks Team
Pre-theatre meal....i.e fixed lunch menu. Good welcome by name, quite private table, it's in a very quiet side street. Enticing looking fish counter. Excellent house sauvignon blanc! My decaf espresso was a bit bitter. Well trained staff - who were friendly without being over-familiar. This restaurant is not unique - there's another in Marylebone. They both sing off the same sheet and do not disappoint - if you like fish do go!
The manager accommodated our dairy and gluten allergies very well. Loved the food platter.
Delicious lunch, good wine at a fair price and lovely unhurried service. I would definitely go back.
Love this branch bon Fishworks. The food is always on point with the freshest fish and the service attentive but discreet. A real favourite.
All the food was exquisite - and we were well catered for with my girlfriend (nut allergy) and myself (vegan) having no problems at all. Try the gnocchi, it’s incredible
I am a frequent guest at Fishworks, however the service was not as good as it used to be - unfriendly waiters. The food was great but the overall experience was a bit compromised by this.
Steamed mussels served lower than room temperature Followed by two attempts to serve up a decent plate of fish and chips . So disappointed, particularly as we had recommended the restaurant to our guests . A big shout out to our waitress who dealt with everything professionally even if the kitchen didn’t !
Warmest greeting from FishWorks. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear your visit was not as expected and apologies for not being able to meet your expectations on this occasion. We aim to continually improve our services through such feedback and therefore we contacted you personally. We hope to welcome you back in the future to restore your faith in our establishment. Kind regards, Maria
We went to Fishworks weekday early evening when fairly quiet. Service was excellent. My partner's fish platter was very good. My seafood linguine was nice but could have had a bit more flavour. Desserts bit average but overall very good.
HI PeterS, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at FishWorks Swallow Street!
This is our third visit to Fish Works and it has maintained a very high standard over the two years we have been coming. The lunch 'deal' of fish and chips was excellent as were the mussels. The offer of prosecco and two oysters was REALLY well appreciated. The service was also charming. Well done!
We have been to Fishworks several times, and this was probably the best - we have always liked the food but there have been problems with service in the past which seemed much better on this visit. It's not a cheap place - our bill came to £85 a head for a main and a pudding each, but if you like fish and want the best then this is the place for you.
Dear JessicaB, we are so happy to read such a great review about FishWorks Swallow Street!
Excellent location in central London. Very pleasant if busy restaurant with an enticing menu and wine list.
Hi, we strive for 100% satisfaction, and it is great to see you had such a positive experience at FishWorks Swallow Street.
Excellent value if you choose their luncheon fixed menu. Fish is cooked to order and the crab bisque was amazing. I have been a few times and have even popped in to buy fish from their fish counter and cooked it at home!
Hi SiobainR, Thank you for your review, we are really glad to hear you had a good time with us at Fishworks both dining and buying our delicious fresh fish to take home with you. We are hoping to see you back soon. Rea and The Fishworks Team

Amazing food - the best seafood I've had!
Nice little restaurant just off Piccadilly. The food and service was very good! Will definitely recommend.
First visit to Fishworks in Swallow St, but have been to Fishworks in Marylebone quite a few times.
I tried to reserve a table at the Marylebone one for Saturday evening but they were full.Fortunately through Opentable I was able to get a table .l have not used Opentable before but found your system to work perfectly.Thank you.
Lovely, friendly restaurant for lovers of fish, right in the heart of London. Beautiful meal and looking forward to coming back again.

My wife and I had a dinner date before the theatre here and both loved the food, service and ambiance. The wait staff were lovely. Would recommend for any preshow date.
First visit, not disappointed, great restaurant. Hope to return.
Very good choice of well cooked, fresh fish and seafood. Loved the linguine and the grilled seafood platter. Carpaccio also excellent
Our server was just awesome ..
monk fish was the winner !
Food quality was excellent!
Ambience was a little quiet but it was a Monday evening
Lovely meal and atmosphere. The Miso Seafood platter was over priced for what you got but other than that the food was good. Waitress was very helpful.
Lovely atmosphere good food and service. I will go back.
good place to eat good food for not too much Monet friendly staff
