Had a large table having drinks next to us so we got barely what I would call service. 2/3 pastas were ice cold. Which would have been ok. If we had a waitress who would have stopped by and asked if everything was ok. So she could have had it warmed. She didn’t tho. Not until the end of the meal. Also asked for an appetizer never came to the table. We went because we were going to try to take my parents there next weekend. Wanted to make sure it was good. It wasn’t. Never going back.

At my son’s request, we celebrated his 21st birthday at Lidia’s. The dining experience exceeded our expectations, and the service was stellar.

We had a great meal at Lidia’s. the portions were generous for all courses, and the food was excellent in every regard. The place was hopping, so it was very loud, but that comes with popularity drawing big crowds. Make a reservation!

The food wasn’t the best. My wife’s risotto was undercooked and the busco was only hot for a couple bites. My bolognese was bland and the noodles a little doughy in taste. The best thing was the pesto dip for the bread and our server was very responsive.

Wow, this restaurant has really gone down hill since my last visit several years ago. Tables are packed in so tightly and the high noise level makes conversation difficult. Bread was served ice cold to our table. The entrees were just mediocre - nothing special. Unfortunately, the experience did not make us anxious to return in the future. There are too many other outstanding restaurants in KC at this price point.

We had went before and thought it was great but this time was definitely different. Chicken was overcooked and broccolini was undercooked. The squid and shrimp appetizer should really be called peppers and some shrimp. Overall wasn’t impressed and probably will consider other places much before this one

We ordered 4 dishes total, our favorite was the chicken livers and polenta. The duck was overcooked and the fat wasn’t rendered from the skin so it was rubbery. The sauce was very sweet and didn’t quite make sense with the cheesy polenta. The cacio e peppe ravioli was incredibly bland and slightly undercooked. The portions are huge but the food is difficult to finish because it lacks passion.
