Market Grille in Manchester, Connecticut is a nice combination between an upscale eatery and a casual restaurant. You can meet your coworkers there for drinks just as easily as you could bring your child to Market Grille for their birthday. The menu is mostly modern American cuisine, but there is also an extensive wine and beer list.

The four-cheese lasagna at Market Grille is very good. Two other very popular entrees here are the classic fish and chips and the stuffed domestic pork chop. If you like seafood, the raw bar here will not disappoint. Every day, fresh oysters of all varieties are offered.

Our server Courtney was excellent, attentive; our food top notch; the atmosphere-we were outside- stunning for sunset. We thoroughly enjoy each time we go. Our friends do too. It's now our first choice.

Market Grille is always a go to for our family. The meals are very good, the price is right (for the market and area) and the service is either good or satisfactory. Waitstaff are typically great but the front of the house staff is hit or miss. Options for eating in a larger room or in the main dining area as well as outdoor seating is a plus. The sound/noise level is no problem if the restaurant is not too crowded, but if you end up there at a busy time (which good for them that they have this problem.....) it can be noisy- something about the ceiling height or construction features make the noise really reverberate in the dining areas. Not a big deal, just to keep in mind if you are looking for a nice, quiet dining experience. Maybe call ahead to get an idea of the crowd at the time?

I started with the Colossal Shrimp Cocktail, which you order by the number of shrimp you want. Thursday night is BOGO on the Raw Bar items, so I got 6 and paid for 3. My partner had the Late Harvest Tomatoes & Burrata, which she loves, but cannot finish, so that went into a to-go box. Then, I had the filet medallions (2 4-oz filets), with risotto and asparagus. My partner had the steak, with french fries and asparagus. Our waitress, Leanna, was excellent. We discussed wines with her and I had a fabulous Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley. After dinner, I had Amaretto in coffee. Again, Leanna provided the tip that if I bought them separately, it would cost about $3 more, but I'd get quite a bit more Amaretto. And, again, she was right. Turns out, she doesn't drink, but she knew a lot about drinking. The best meal I have had in months!

As always, Market Grille excelled. The sangria and Manchesta Manhattan were excellent, gorgonzola bread and pork belly Brussels sprouts were delicious, and the lobster and shrimp pasta was very generous with the amount of crustacean. No skimping on the lobster here! Or server was always there but never intrusive, and the patio was perfect.

Staff were very welcoming! Liana was very nice. She was engaging and personable. Our food was presentable and delicious!!! We look forward to visiting again.

I had the twin fillets and it was wonderful. My wife and daughter had the hot lobster roll and they said it was delicious! Wait staff was excellent.

The service is and has always been very good. The food has always been good except this is my first negative experience with the food…Lobster Roll, no taste no sweetness the buns, eh…. I gave it a 3 star for food as I did eat and left a small piece on the plate. The French fries great, thank goodness as it helped down the lobster roll. I should have known better, fresh catch is the best when it comes down to lobster rolls. Lesson learned 🙂 I’ve had many items on the menu and all have been spot on 5 stars ⭐️ all the way! Just not the lobster rolls.
