Frankie & Augie'Z
Solid Italian food. Delicious, well prepared and nice size portions. This is our local, go to place when we’re in the mood for Italian.
As usual the food was very good but we had an incident where a bus boy spilled the buttered oil from the baked clams on myself and my brother-in-law. The bus boy offered to pay for our dry cleaning but disappeared after we got the bill. Which we felt the manager or waiter should have taken the clams off the bill or offered an after dinner drink but nothing! Disappointing at best since we have had dinner there on at least 5 occasions with large groups. Even though the offer to pay for the damage to our shirts the waiter never returned after we paid the bill to follow up on this payment!
Food always excellent, waitress kept very busy though it was Mother’s Day but could have used more staff
Restaurant staff is always friendly and welcoming. Food is always delicious and portions are large. Great family restaurant
Food and service good. Friday night. Several large party’s very noisy, not good for date night good for big party’s and casual meals.
Usually the food is good this time it was a swing and a miss
Calamari was rubbery and
My pasta with broccoli rabe with sausage was dry and tasteless
The steaks, service and atmosphere were perfect! The bacon appetizer is to die for. We went for Easter Sunday having heard about Frankie & Augie'z but never had the opportunity to go. It was well worth it, fantastic and we will return again!
Good Friday family dinner
Excellent service and food
Food was very good...had the best waitress!!!! Selection was too much!
Food and service was excellent and the pricing is reasonable highly recommended
Great neighborhood place - good food, great service and nice ambiance.
Saturday night. Table for 6 adults and 2 children. We were sat at our correct 6;00 reservation time, place very busy. Waiter was nice, but the whole night was a disaster. Got our appetizers at at 6:40, salads at 7:00. The 2 kids were given their meals at 7:15, and the adults got their meals at 7:50!!! So the kids were obviously done at this point, and the parents just got their meals to go. Waiter was apologetic, kept saying the kitchen was busy. Then staff up appropriately! Will not be returning! Couldn’t even sing happy birthday to someone in our group.....
Great place for food and wine. The atmosphere is more casual than formal but certainly family friendly. Also, when the restaurant has music, it is low enough where you can still enjoy a conversation.
Great food, as always, nice wine reasonably priced and Mike the waiter very good service.
Had a wonderful family Valentine's Day dinner, our server Shana was friendly and knowledgeable!!
Always a delicious meal at Frankie & Augie'Z, and staff members are welcoming! I highly recommend this fantastic restaurant!!
Very good, I don’t like to sit at a table near a busy doorway, there were other open tables, however I didn’t want to upset anyone by asking to be seated at another table. Otherwise it’s always a nice experience
Great food, service & selections at reasonable prices. Definitely would and have recommended to others.
They are always so welcoming. Service is always so friendly and attentive. Love their new drinks! Always have a fun new cocktail on the menu.
Our waiter did a great job with our service. The atmosphere was vibrant and the meal from appetizer thru dessert was excellent!
Food was good. Service not so much. Good for everyday dining
For 8 years the food and service has been getting better and better with each passing year.
Eggplant was over cooked and lacked flavor Pasta was cold
Soup was delicious but entrees lacked
Go there for chic parm. Better than my Italian mama. Big pieces!!!! Sunday night two small baby pieces. What happened? Anorexic chickens?
Have been to this restaurant several times. I love the rice balls and rigatoni sorrentino. Some friends had salmon and others had meat dishes. All were very good.
Always enjoy Frankie and Augie'Z's. Casual place to go for great food and plenty of it. Moderate pricing and friendly people. Only complaint was the "house dressing" was really bland and boring but the food never disappoints!
Food is always great! Have been there many times. We were there to celebrate my sons graduation with another family. The waiter was new, as he had to walk away when we asked him any questions about the food menu or drinks. He was very kind, and did the absolute best he could considering he did not have much experience. I would highly recommend not putting new wait staff on before they are ready. Everything took a bit longer because he had to keep leaving the table to ask questions, so it became frustrating.
All was great in the end, as always. But I felt compelled to give my opinion. I own my own business and always appreciate honestly when a client has their opinion offer.
the food is pretty good but if your looking for quantity don't get the fish dishes, chicken is the way to go here. nice live music playing.
Tasty food, large portions, reasonable prices, excellent service.
The restaurant was very crowded so they did not honor the open table reservation. I thought that odd as other times when crowded they simply blocked out the availability on Open Table but not this time. So we drove there, were told it would be a few minutes but after 15 min of standing and waiting (no room to even sit at bar), we left and went elsewhere to eat. There were no tables that looked close to becoming available. Very disappointing.
The food was delicious and the service was great. Just a bit noisy. I mean it was very busy, which is a great sign, that the place is good. I will go back again. Thank God I did make dinner reservations because as I said, the place was packed.
We frequent Frankie & Augie'Z and as always, the food was delicious!
We were seated right away and the waiter was very pleasant and accommodating.
The owner came up to our table to make sure everything was to our liking. The portions are very generous! We all took leftovers home.
A great place to have a casual dinner with friends.
All of the food on the regular menu is outstanding. I found to keep away from the daily specials though- they are usually mediocre and not as high-quality as the regular menu
Always a great dining experience. Excellent service whether it's a slow or a busy day. It is apparent that they care about their customers. The food the kitchen prepares is some of the best around. My favorite is the Chicken Valdostano; crispy breaded cutlet, prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato, mushrooms, onions, marsala wine. Perfetto!
I want to like this restaurant as a neighborhood Italian casual family place. But we just don't like their food very much. Their red sauce looks and tastes like tomato soup with too much sugar and not enough herbs like oregano or basil. It's too sweet and just not my taste.
Food was good. Pastas were al dente and sauces incredible. Very good service too
Friendly, reliable and quick. Toatally casual on one side or available for events on the other.
We had reservations for four people. The four of us arrive on time. The host brings us to a table for four EXCEPT it only had two chairs. He walked away after leaving four menus and never returned with chairs. There many empty tables that we could have been seated at but he left us standing . After several minutes the waitress brought us to a different table. No apologies, nothing was said or offered. The host never came back to us.
The menu has many choices and the food is okay if you want to remain in the area. We ordered antipasto where all the mussels were closed tight. We had to ask that we get mussels that were opened. It was our first time here, we won't be rushing back only if we want Italian food that's just okay.
We were all from out of town for a niece's West Point graduation, staying half hour away. The restaurant's service after our graduation celebration event was the BEST: they tracked me down (through my cell phone for the Open Table reservation -- great benefit) after one of my guests had left some of her gifts at the restaurant. Really appreciated that extra effort by the restaurant staff and for being there earlier enough Sunday morning that I could get on the road to other points westward. It was a crowded Saturday night, so a bit noisy, but we had lots of fun. Food was solid Italian meal and plenty of it (if you want leftovers, this is the place). The chicken Marsala I had and the steamed vegetables were excellent.
Went with 2 groupons for 2 people each and the waiter would not accept 2 for the table. He did not check with the manager to see if any exception would be made. We ended up purchasing an additional groupon for 4 people at the same price. Food was decent, not the best or worst Italian I've ever had.
