The Colden Mill Restaurant
We made our reservation for the deck, and it really was perfect! The tables are nicely spaced apart, and it's very cozy surrounded by trees with the view of the creek and the sound of a small waterfall in the background.
And the food- fabulous!! The four of us all had something different and it was all excellent! Cooked superbly, large portions,
phenomenal taste! I guess my biggest complaint is the roasted veggies portion was a bit skimpy.
We will be back there, and soon!
Perfect evening. Amazing ambiance. The food was excellent. Our server Teresa was wonderful. Will definitely go back and will recommend to friends.
Chuck, bartender and owner, was great at explaining and recommending a variety of options on the menu. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were phenomenal. We will definitely be making the drive out there again in the future.
Overall wonderful experience, we will be back!
The food was amazing and our server was fantastic
Food was decent. I had the tenderloin pasta which was tasty, my companion had the filet mignon which was slightly overdone. The chorizo pepper was good, and different, and the grilled romaine salad was great. Dessert was the sorbet which was very flavorful and refreshing. Sat on the deck and it was beautiful. Waitress was friendly and attentive, if inexperienced. Overall a good experience. I expect we'll be back.
Always a wonderful experience dining at Colden Mill. Friendly and efficient staff and food is very good.
Nice relaxing atmosphere. Food was very enjoyable and the service was great.
Weather was finally nice enough to sit outside. Deck atmosphere is very nice. Dinner was very good. I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf which was outstanding. My wife’s tenderloin pasta was also very good. All and all a very nice evening.
Excellent evening. Wonderful menu and food. Will be returning.
The Colden Mill is the "go-to" place for my husband and me. This visit we took some family along, and they loved it as much as we do!
Colden Mill is outstanding! We enjoyed a beautiful, relaxing night out with our family. Started with drinks at the bar and continued to our table where we were greeted by our always sweet waitress. Our meals were absolutely delicious! The chef is amazing and his attention to detail is superior.
I love the Colden Mill's food and ambiance. Typically we receive superior service. However, this trip was a disappointment in that regard. The server forgot about a beer my husband ordered. It sat on the bar for 20 minutes before it was served, and my husband had to remind her. We were not even close to finished eating, with forks in our mouths, and she asked if we were ready for dessert. A few minutes later, while still visibly eating, she asked if we wanted dessert. When we said no, she asked if we were ready for our check. She was either in our face or completely out of the picture. It was a strange visit to say the least. We will return to the Colden Mill, but request a different server in the future.
Filet was amazing!
we have been to the Colden Mill a few times and we are never disappointed. The food is fantastic, the service is outstanding & we love it!
Absolutely fabulous!! Go there now!! Food was delicious, atmosphere very cozy and the entire staff was so friendly. Chrissy our waitress, was outstanding and always there with a smile.
Our waitress was absolutely amazing and the chef always on point. The food, service and atmosphere was perfect!
We absolutely enjoyed the Easter brunch! Great environment, good selection and fabulous service
Chuck always mixes a great drink, and Matt makes amazing dinners! The atmosphere is so comfortable and the servers are all top-notch! One of our favorite places.
We were very happy with our food and service and the ambiance of the restaurant. There were very few others dining so it was very quiet in the restaurant. I have only one suggestion and that is to offer a few other choices that aren't so high priced. This would certainly allow for more frequent visits to the Colden Mill. Overall, my party of four was very happy.
2 couples on a night out, first time here. Once a grain mill, the Interior includes lots of rustic wood and antiques. Exterior a large water wheel dominates. Dinners were delicious. Salad ordered were the Iceberg wedge, presented about as well as you can 1/4 head of lettuce, and an antipasto reminiscent of and old Italian restaurant. I had the Eggplant Parm Napolean, wow! Wife and friend had the Meatloaf, and with the BBQ glaze it was the best she had ever had. A fish fry was good, and very filling (something they do all days they are open). The water glasses were never empty, someone was always making sure we had all we needed, and our waitress was especially friendly and attentive. A Great experience, highly recommended by all in our party. Would be good for special occasions. We were greatly impressed with our evening. I should add the place has changed hands since originally opened several years ago, and much for the better.
What a quaint restaurant! We hadn't been in a few years but we were so glad we came back. We had a fish fry, others at the table sampled the salmon, fried chicken and meatloaf, all of which were exceptional! Very well prepared, interesting combinations (salmon was prepared on a savory pancake!) and nothing was rushed. They also have a good wine list and when the selection we wanted wasn't available, had another suggestion ready for us. We will definitely return.
The filet was delicious and my boyfriend loved the fish fry! Super quaint and cozy atmosphere.
Great service , food and atmosphere! Would definitely go again and recommend to others!
It was an all around perfect dining experience. From a friendly staff to excellent food. Dinner rolls, appetizers and main course! Very pleased and relaxing!
Both strip steak and salmon were very good. Another enjoyable evening.
Took my husband there for his birthday- they were very nice and personable. Plan to go back in warmer weather to sit out on the deck. This a wonderful restaurant tucked away in a quiet little town in WNY. Worth the drive down to make an evening out of it.
This is our favorite restaurant! Every time I fly up from Florida we plan a meal here. The French onion soup two ways is the most delicious soup I've ever had!
Let me start by saying that we went on Valentine's Day which I know is a busy day to dine out. We had to order from a special menu which came with very small side salads. It was odd that they brought out the salads before the appetizers (usually other way around). I will say the entrees were delicious. I had the filet mignon & my husband had crab legs. It went down hill after that. We ordered dessert and after 20 min. still hadn't received it. We then asked the waitress for it "to go" which she seemed annoyed with and then waited another 10 min. for our bill (which we had to flag down another waitress for because ours was MIA). Finally the boxed desserts came out. They were just thrown in the container & not even intact when we got them home. The 7.50 pineapple cheesecake was a sliver. The food & ambiance was good, but the service was just too slow! Waiting 20 min for a beer or wine or dessert is way to long! My husband does not want to return!
Had to wait an hour past our reservation time. Owner bought us a round of drinks as we waited to long. Soup and shrimp appetizer was good. My steak pasta was so salty it was inedible and made me feel sick the next day. Everyone was nice and it was a cute restaurant, just not worth the hour wait.
Always fantastic meal service and ambiance!!
Food and atmosphere we're great. The meatloaf was delicious. The service started off strong and fizzled after food was delivered. We waited over 20 minutes for our check and had to track down the hostess to get the bill.
Food was excellent as was the service. room was a bit loud and it was a bit chilly near the window.
But the view out the window was beautiful. Will definitely return, did not realize we had this gem in the south towns.
Large portions ,excellent flavor .I had the special chicken pot pie and my wife had the tenderloin pasta with a very nice and large salad. We'll plan to return often
The menu offers something for everyone.
The combination of ingredients used in the dishes will please a variety of palates.
Very cool ambiance and decorations. Rustic. Excellent food. Great place to meet friends and family or just have a date night.
Everything I had was excellent. Normally there is always one thing that is just okay but all the food was outstanding. They were out of a few things but I would rather that than get food that is leftover. We will be back!
Food was excellent! I had mushroom risotto with sirloin steak & my husband had filet mignon-delicious! Great wine selection, salads were large, fresh - it was a great dining experience & we will definitely go back.
This a wonderful spot. Well worth the drive. The staff is friendly and the food is always great. Perfect for special occasions.
Great food, love the Potatoes Au gratin, but limited gluten free options.
