Anepalco is a modern Mexican restaurant located next to ALO Hotel in Orange, California. Our restaurant combines traditional Mexican ingredients with a modern twist. We focus on bringing flavors from all regions of Mexico to your palate. Come and try our famous chilaquiles, organic handmade tortillas, Huitlacoche Octopus tacos or al pastor tacos for lunch. Visit us for dinner where the menu gets sophisticated with a Agua Chile Negro, Chichilo Mole, Short Ribs Barbacoa with chochoyotes or Pork Belly Tacos. This place was delicious, it was clean, the service was great & fast. It’s so adorable inside, definitely brings out the Hispanic culture which is so beautiful! Will definitely come here again when we come back to visit in the future.

Husband and I met a friend for brunch and had an amazing time. The food was spectacular, the drinks were unique and delicious and the service was amazing. We have been here many times before but not back since the pandemic. This visit was right up to par! Definitely recommended.

This was my first time eating here and the food was delicious...very authentic. On the expensive side - similar pricing to Javier's in Newport.

Staff was great quality of food wasn’t what the price we paid for order NY Trio meat was way too salty and dry. Tostadas were too hard.

The menu was interesting and they are clearly trying to "re-invent" standard Mexican dishes. Our party of five enjoyed a lovely evening on the patio; the music in the dining room was too loud for us to hear each other. The cocktails lacked flavor. Two entrees arrived under room temperature - too cool. The Carnitas were dry and stringy; my Enchiladas Rojas were spicy hot - but lacking in complexity of flavor. It was disappointing.

Anepalco is a hidden gem for those looking for an upscale Mexican food dining experience. Excellent, flavorful food and well-crafted cocktails. I've been several times now, and it never fails to delight.

Bought two guests and we were able to get there easily , in spite of local traffic. Hostess was pleasant and seated us promptly, orders were taken swiftly, and recommendations were good. We all enjoyed our meals and will return!

First time visitors. 1. Had to give my credit card for a reservation of 5. It also asked my reason for the online reservation which was a birthday celebration. But there was never an acknowledgement of this. 2. Chilaquiles were good, but were missing toppings. 3. Torta cubana- was too soggy. Give it 2 stars at best 4. Tacos- were excellent. Loved the home made tortillas. 5. French toast- was ok. Too overwhelming sweet.
