Mi Vida's Restaurant Week lunch was an incredible deal. Five courses, all inclusive and every one was good.
Our experience was great! Our waiter was amazing--super friendly, and even brought us complimentary desserts. We ate outside so ambiance was phenomenal w/great people watching at the wharf. Guac was delicious, ribs with mole yummy and tacos were a crowd pleaser. The only dissapointment was the churros-- salty and just not good--Could have just been an off night for the churros.
The restaurant week menu was delicious; it was just too much food. We had a wonderful view from our outdoor table. The biggest issue with this restaurant is the unacceptable noise level. Even outdoor dining was too loud though much better than the noise level inside. Inside seating is impossible for me and any friends of mine because we like a conversation with our meal.
Server was GREAT - helpful, pleasant, on-top of it all ! Food was wonderful- best fish taco's I have ever had ! Location was great, right next to the Anthem.
Tasty food; great ambiance. Loved the water view from the second floor.
Lucas our waiter was OUTSTANDING!!!!
Excellent, relaxing atmosphere with exceptional food and service.
We went to check out the Restaurant for RestauRant Week. They had a single offering which included three appetizers, two enters and a dessert. It was soo much food and such good and interesting offerings. And the service was unbelievable. My friend has a serious allergy to cilantro which is an ingredient in almost all their offerings but they cooked up each of the items specially without cilantro. It was an amazing experience and I know we will go back.
Only thing I didnt like about the restaurant was that you have to sit at the bar to get the happy hour drink pricing. If you dont sit at the bar (which is very small) you have to pay full pricing during happy hour.
AMAZING. From start to finish, it definitely hit the spot! We’d make the drive again to come leave fat and happy :)
We enjoyed Mi Vida during restaurant week and enjoyed every bite! They have the best guacamole in DC.
The restaurant has three floors of indoor and outdoor seating and ceiling design minimized noise level so conversations are easy.
The service and food are excellent.
The guacamole and tacos are worth a visit alone. Excellent.
Great waiter and greet service. It took us months to get a reservation so we’re happy that we were not disappointed.
Inside was very loud but we sat outside and it was great
They turned a bad start into a wonderful experience! I booked a party of 4 but wanted to have 5 outside so I told them when we got there. They said nothing was available and put us on the 2nd fl where it was extremely noisy. We told Darlin, the mgr , that we were old friends from out of town catching up but could not hear each other! She said "give me a minute" and the came back to say" follow me, I have a table outside"! She took us to a beautiful table outside that was perfect for talking! Then Dio, our waiter took it to another level with great service, even threw in free churros for dessert! The food was great and the evening turned out to be memorable!
Service was just ok, but the food and space is excellent.
This was our first visit to Mi Vida and definitely not our last. The food was authentic because we brought two people from Mexico who told us!
We had absolutely no complaints. It was a marvelous evening in all respects.
Excellent service. Thank you Francisco for your great recommendations
We waited over 45 minutes to receive our entrees as they lost the food ticket. The enchiladas were really lacking in flavor and seemed as though they had been sitting out for a while. All in all, an expensive meal for lacking service and food quality. I would return for chips and guacamole, but nothing more.
If you are not familiar with several Spanish words, you might have a difficult time ordering (unless you are game for anything) - that, and it was so dark, we had to use our phones to see the menu (and then they turned the lights down further!). It was too loud to ask the server anything (or hear his response). The food was good though, and our server was nice.
Lovely restaurant with very good service, drinks, and guacamole. The food was fine, but not up to the standard of the rest.
The inside noise was loud. We sat outside which was fine. Enjoyed people watching.
Service was amazing! Waiter and manager both helped at the table and our 3-birthday dinner was a huge success!
Great food and service
Delicious as ever
Great food and drinks and the ambience was amazing.
The food and drinks here are good, but the service is less than par. I've been here several times because we like the ambiance if the Wharf, but I've been unimpressed each time with the service. The host team is not warm, friendly or welcoming when you come in. I know it is very busy and they are managing chaos, but I should not be able to tell by the way they speak to me. The wait staff is very friendly, but so slow. This feels like a new restaurant that just opened and is getting it's rhythm, but after my third time...it still feels that way.
Good menu, great margaritas and tequila choices...excellent service but a little pricey. It is definitely not a place for a quiet dinner if that is what you are looking for. It is a hot spot on the Wharf and always has a lively crowd.
A group of four from the office had lunch with our volunteer staffer before she left. Most of us had tacos, and two people added rice and beans. We enjoyed the guacamole dip and chips first. Mi Vida chefs and staff do not disappoint.
Really enjoy every single moment, very attentive and very knowledgeable.
Great ambiance. Super accommodating to my mom (who is a native spanish speaker). Excellent food, standouts had to be the carnitas tacos and the fried plantains with crema. The place feels chic and is definitely instagram worthy. Food itself was incredibly filling and some of the most flavorful I've had in DC. Definitely coming back in the future.
I'd definitely come back here again. Took my wife on a night out away from the kids. Our water was a very cheerful dude who was quite helpful.
Guac - it was OK. Came with a pretty great smoked salsa. I prefer the taste of the guac at Rosa Mexicana. Wife found guac and chips a bit over-salted.
Lamb Barbacoa Tacos - AWESOME. Wife and I each ate and we both loved. Lamb taste wasn't over-powering nor was it completely lost within the other flavors - just perfect.
Roast chicken - Comes with a half of a chicken, pickled veggies, and elote (corn with mexican cheese). The chicken was awesome - one of the best-tasting roast chickens I've ever had at a restaurant. Both white and dark meat were juicy and tasty. The veggies were good, but surprisingly ALL of them were spicy. I was expecting the jalapenos to be spicy (they left the seeds in), but even the cauliflower was. We like spicy, it was just a surprise for all of them to be spicy. The elote was really great.
We'd definitely go again, but would love to sample more of the tacos vs the right side of the menu (the right side consisting of steaks and roasted or grilled chicken)
Delicious food; great place; highly recommend; will definitely go back!
Love this place the guacamole is amazing and the service was good!
I have been here at least 5 times or so and I have never been disappointed! The Bleu Guacamole is amazing! I highly recommend this place.
The waitress was a bit too pushy with upselling selections but the food was good and is consistently good quality after several visits.
Incredible food. Mole Enchiladas with Brisket are fantastic. Carlos waited on us and is a pro. We will be back on our next trip to DC. Great custom made Margaritas by the way.
Great to sit outside. Very pricey! Not the greatest food.
I took my friend for a birthday lunch and everyone at the restaurant were so gracious and kind to us both! They gave her a special treat and treated us like gold- they always treat their customers like gold. The food was delicious as usual. Highly recommend Mi Vida.
Delicious food with wonderful service! Definitely pricey, but fun for a special occasion.
