An enjoyable atmosphere for a special occasion. The menu is small limiting main course choices to four or five items. The food is good and nicely presented but over-priced in my experience. Pricing is ala-carte and one should plan on spending around $100 per person. We have been to 506 two times over the past year. Both were enjoyable and expensive. The service was very good on both occasions.
I Love everything about The Sanford House and Restaurant506! Great service, and fantastic atmosphere! Food and drink never disappoint. Definitely the best fine dining in Arlington!!
Can't believe we've never been here for as many years as we've lived in Arlington. It was a fantastic experience and we'll be back for dinner, HH, brunch often. Food was excellent as were the cocktails. They even made me a drink that wasn't on the menu. The staff is very professional and courteous. They promoted social distancing, but in style.
It was a beautiful location, service was great and brunch was fantastic.
Always a fabulous place to eat for an upscale brunch, lunch or an extra special evening that is well worth the value and location.
I have been to Restaurant 506 many times. I always enjoy it.
This was our secon time to Restaurant506, The first was 2 years ago, It was wonderful experience both times.
Great place for special occasion dinners.
Wonderful. Beautiful ambience. Excellent meal. Great service.
We have dined here a few times in the past with great results and this visit did not disappoint. We were celebrating our anniversary and the complimentary glass of champagne was a nice touch. The bartender in the Van Gough bar was very nice and made delicious drinks. The waitstaff was attentive and made substitutions for side dishes. They did not rush us and we were able to enjoy a leisurely dinner. We were very pleased and will return again.
In the area from Spokane, WA and was recommended this place by family. My wife and I loved it! Food was fantastic and the service was great. Would go there again next time we are in the area.
The restaurant has a very unique feeling to it. The Charm of this vintage setting is refreshing, calming. The menu is very simple, the Chefs change things up on the menu so it's a surprise when you arrive. Micki was our Waitress she's been there for several years, an was very professional,an knowledgeable about what's going on in the Kitchen. We came from a wedding had an hr to kill so grabbed some Cocktails an headed to the courtyard. For us we Love dressing up, but not necessary. I'm on the Metabolic Diet an Micki was able to offer ideas and still achieve a fantastic meal. Highly recommend it.
Went for brunch on a Saturday. Very nice, great staff and food was delicious. Making plans to go back for happy hour.
Wonderful experience, but were out of champagne on a Sunday at 12:30, so no mimosas or celebratory drinks. Not good for customers and no profit for business! Both food and service were outstanding, so all was not lost!
As always- a lovely experience. We had 3 couples...and were seated in the diningroom at the central table.
The "new" chef was visable and did walk throughs through the entire restaurant to check on the guest's meals. Attentive hostess.....warm greeting and farewell. Friendly waiter....loved the extra touches of the small appetizer and sorbet between courses. A luxurious and wonderfully paced meal.
It was a great eating experience. The food was delicious. The young man who waited on us was so friendly and kind. He had a wonderful smile. Service was great. I love the house. It was comfy and cozy. Beautiful! My friends and I have been friends since the early sixtys. We meet for lunch every other month, and we will certainly be coming back toSanford House.
I go here with a friend that lives in Fort Worth and it is a halfway destination between Dallas and Fort Worth. We go at least four times a year and we have never been disappointed
The food was beautiful in appearance, fresh and prepared in a manner that brought out the unique qualities of each dish. The serving sizes were generous and the prices appropriate. Service was attentive without being overbearing and the setting understated, warm and inviting. Definitely worth returning again and again
We are big fans of the Sanford House and dine there frequently for special occasions. We were a little disappointed in the fixed menu and our server was not up to Sanford House standards. Having said all this, we will definitely be back!
Daddy - Daughter Dance
This is the perfect Sunday brunch spot! The owner, Joan, is wonderful and greets all the guests, and the food is phenomenal!
Exquisite food, truly gourmet. Arlington is fortunate to have a restaurant like this. Service is a little leisurely, but this is not a place that you want to rush in and out of. The waiter was thoroughly knowledgeable about the dining options and the wine.
Outstanding service, setting, food and atmosphere!
We enjoyed a fabuluous meal with excellent service - as usual. We have been several time and have never been disappointed.
The sevice brought down my over all review to 3 stars! They forgot to bring the muffin basket! They didn’t refill our coffee! The service wasn’t good at all!
Everything was perfect from the reservation with our table preference honored throughout the entire meal the service was superb. The crab cakes and smoked salmon are unbelievably tasty for a pescatarian as myself. Far most my favorite meals are served here. Highly recommended!
Great experience, friendly staff, great service!
Does not get any better in Arlington ! Fantastic menu choices . Chef always uses the best and fresh ingredients. Anthony who manages the bar is the very best . He great at his craft and extremely personable. The food, drinks, people and lovely dining rooms and bar keep us coming quite often .
We have never had anything that was not exceptional. The food and service are super. Ask for Mickie to be your server.
Food was not as good as usual. We had reuben sandwiches and they were quite mediocre. Meat piled in center, thick empty border of dry bread, a bare trace of saurkrout and very greasy. Usually the food is better prepared. Do go--the atmosphere is lovely. Just don't have this sandwich!
Made over reservation online about three weeks in advance. It was easy to do so. Upon arrival we were greeted very professionally, seated right away, and the remainder of our brunch went superbly. When leaving, were invited to walk the grounds to view the Christmas decorations, etc. We’ve been very pleased with Restaurant506 at the Sanford House each time we’ve been there and will continue to be repeat customers.
Always a lovely place to eat with a friend! Good food and good service.
The crab cakes were great but there were too many potatoes. I enjoyed the coffee as well as the refills. Service was excellent. At the end of the meal, we were provided a pleasant look at the guest rooms. We really like the Sanford House and will visit there again.
Everything was great. Anthony was very attentive. My wife lived the plank salmon and I had the steak Diane. The were cooked perfect. The steak was the best I have ever had, measuring it with the Keg. We will definitely return and recommend it to our family and friends.
Brunch was wonderful. They are so accommodating. Great service and delicious food. A great treat.
This restaurant is a MUST for holiday dining in Arlington. The food quality was fantastic and the service was great as well. We enjoyed the meat and cheese board appetizer, entrees, a bottle of wine, and shared two desserts for our party of 4 and still spent just over $80 per person including tip! Seating is limited and the tables are pretty close to each other, but the noise level is still fairly moderate.
I can't recommend this restaurant enough during the holidays. It feels like you're stepping onto the set of a Hallmark Christmas movie!
Outstanding food in a lovely setting. Mickey, our server, was wonderful! In spite of taking care of quite a few tables she made us feel like we were her only customers. Stellar service. I can highly recommend the French onion soup, smoked brisket and goat cheese ravioli, the crab cakes and the red snapper. I’m quite certain everything on the menu is equally as good as the dishes we had. This is one of my two favorite restaurants in Arlington. If you’re looking for a fine dining restaurant in Arlington, look no further than Restaurant 506. I highly recommend it!
Great restaurant for celebrating the holidays. Decorations are beautiful and , as alway, food and service fantastic.
The foos quality has gone downhill in the last year and servings smaller. Used to have the best crab cakes but they are now very mediocre.
Won’t be back anytime soon. Hopefully they will get things back on track
