Excellent food and service as usual. We were seated in the enclosed outdoor area and the heaters kept it warm. The BYO wine is a nice option. We look forward to returning.

Always a good meal here... one of our favorite places to go

We were looking for a place to celebrate a few birthdays in the family, and wanted to try someplace new or different. (We also wanted to avoid supporting a large chain, and give our business to a smaller / local establishment.) We found Ristorante Castello while doing a search on OpenTable, and I'm pleased to say, we were not disappointed with our selection. Laura, our waitress, was both helpful and patience as we struggled to zero in on our menu selections. The problem was..... 3 of the 4 of us wanted multiple items on the menu. That's a good "problem" to have. (Too many good options....) We all enjoyed our meals. While it's a bit of a drive for us, we'd consider going back.

Service with an attitude and overrated food. Trying to support a small restaurant to keep them in business but this one was difficult.

As always, Ristorante Castello NEVER disappoints. The food was fabulous and we were lucky to have our favorite waiter, John take care of us. I can’t say enough great things. Still remains my favorite restaurant in the area. Thanks Habib.

We ate outside near the heat lamp. Unfortunately for the restaurant, there were empty tables, due to the cold weather. We felt very safe and enjoyed very good service.

Castellos is always good. They make tou feel like family!

The fried oysters were dry and very overcooked. The sides served with my tuna were cold.
No one stopped by to check in our table after appetizers and main courses were served.
We used to enjoy the restaurant but were very disappointed with our most recent visit there. Not sure if they have had turn over in the kitchen recently.
A shame; we will not be going back.

Sloppy. Getting very sloppy. Was a great place with great service, but it is obvious the staff is getting lazy and the food quality has dropped. Shame

Always a good dining experience at Ristorante Castello. Consistently good food.

This was our 5th time with a few months eating at the restaurant. John, our waiter every time is a bit abrupt and frankly, an order taker. When asked if he could substitute a pasta with either linguine or fettucinne - he waited. Then he said "Well which one?" (Maybe yes- we have both would be the correct response). This approach happens frequently with him. He just doesn't make the dining experience a better dining experience.

appetizer was calamari- fried. As John would say "In the 14 years or in the 11 years I've been working here nobody has ever asked for that" when asked for balsamic with oil for bread. I even heard him say it to the next table. And he waent on and on. How about "of course"!The calamari was white. White! Tasteless to boot.

Pasta for dinner. Do they salt their water (?) because again it was tasteless. My first opinion was sky high but visits 2-5 was a no to a no way. Wont be back. Too many other places for good pasta.

Castellos is always good and consistent. The food is always good. A little too pricey. The service is alwayts good too however, this time I had made a reservation on open table and they did not have it and they said they had nothing and we would have to sit outside which I was not crazy about. They did seat us indoors and it all worked out.

A go to for amazing Italian dishes. Even here a hand full of times and never leave upset or uninspired. The food is top notch, the wait staff are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help you make that hard choice when you’re between two meals. Bringing your own wine saves money but they have great bottles for fairly cheap as well. Definitely a favorite and highly recommended.

Ristorante Castello is always our 'go to' place for family get togethers when my daughter and her husband visit from North Carolina. This is the first time we were there at the lunch hour and it was just as wonderful as dinner. Even though our usual dinner choices were not on the menu, we were able to get them just by making the request. The staff accommodated us in every way. For a memorable experience, awesome food and super service I highly recommended.

Great venue for a birthday party with friends.

Food was great, however service and product knowledge needs work especially at prices charged.

Food was good, but service was so subpar. We could hear staff were exasperated with a coworker(I think he is the head waiter), and it was annoying to hear them bickering. The head waiter is condescending and was out to lunch when we were their. He took our orders and we didn't see him till I needed to finally flag him down for our bill. Even then no interest in how dinner was, or "sorry for the lack of interest in you". It's not the first time this has happened. It's par for the course as I have been here perhaps 1-2 times a year for Castellos. Good food but lacks trained staff. I recommend this restaurant if you want good food and lack luster service. And yes I did tip generously only because it's a tough time for hospitality workers.

Yet another awesome dinner and evening at one of our all-time favorite restaurants. The menu choices, the quality of the food and the service was simply “outstanding”. It was great to see Cindy again. Chrissy, Laura and the other servers just couldn’t seem to do enough to please all of us and honor our every request throughout the evening – it was all very much appreciated !!!

After several meals at Castello this summer, I don’t plan to return anytime soon. The service has become inattentive and the food quality inconsistent.
