Amazing Chinese food right by the Thames!

As always we had a fantastic meal and the service as usual was excellent.

Quick service, great menu selection and tasty food! There is also a nice external terrace with views across the river perfect for warm weather.

Very nice place with a lovely view. Food was delicious. Didn't have to wait long for the foods to arrive.

Service was very slow had to wait for drinks with empty glasses just think it was short staffed due to covid 19 food was lovely and there was lots of it but was very expensive for what we got

Fab food good service

Great food, excellent service. Ambience was a little lacking but it was Su day evening and therefore not the restaurants fault. Overall great restaurant and services definitely would recommend.

We were very happy with our meal at River View. We had one of the set menus, as it was our first visit and we wanted to taste as many different dishes as possible. Next time we will go for individual dishes. The portions were enormous and we couldn't finish everything - but it was good! We sat near the window, overlooking the boats going past. The staff were very friendly and always there when we needed them.

We will definitely return!

I have been in London five weeks searching out Chinese food. I can’t say if this is authentic Chinese but I can say it is what I have been looking for. And if you walk down to the river after dinner you can enjoy the beauty and peace all the way to The Tower of London and perhaps beyond. Highly recommend

We probably visit here once a month and have been coming for over ten years. The food is always good, the service great and the prices are amazing considering the quality of the food. Not hip and trendy, if you want that pay well over double at hakasan. If you want great Chinese food, visit this place.

Nice restaurant, great service, food pretty good but chilli dishes need a more pronounced chilli flavour as quite mild.

We come here all the time - always great food and excellent service. They could do with a new carpet though. My feet have literally stuck to the floor during the last few visits ! Not pleasant

The views from the restaurant were exceptional being next to the River Thames and opposite the Mayflower Pub. The food was freshly cooked and tasted delicious, from a very varied menu with some unusual dishes. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the dishes arrived in good time with any sizzling dishes being presented with a lid on, great idea for obvious reasons. You could eat cheaper by sticking to the traditional Chinese dishes, but being a Birthday we splashed out on some of the more unusual like Scollops with Mellon, that was served in half a Canary Melon and sliced Fillet Steak etc. Loved the whole experience and will definitely be back.

This is our favourite local Chinese restaurant. It's usually very reliable, although it has let us down once or twice. This visit was back on form. It is not very fancy, but does what it does very well. Also has great views of Canary Wharf, and a prime riverside spot (the clue's in the name).

Great food and service

Food was Ok, but not great. We had the set 2-course lunch, which was good value.

Decor seems rather dated and slightly shabby. Not as smart as it was years ago.

We are regulars here and you can’t go wrong once you’ve found the dishes you like. Sizzling beef is excellent as are the vegetable dishes. A crab starter was very good too. Lovely service. I don’t recommend their ribs, which is a shame as we love ribs when done well.

The restaurant was extremely busy but staff, although over stretched, still provided a professional service with a smile. We had the set meal and enjoyed every dish, we were also accommodated when we asked to swap an item. The wine was fine and reasonable. Will return. I had an idea the restaurant was up-market, plush, and an out out place, but it's friendly, comfortable, and relaxed.

Really nice Chinese food on a Saturday evening with all the usual dishes on the menu. Special praise for the Thai seafood hotpot which was really nice and spicy. We enjoyed and shall return again

This is a hidden gem in London. It's been here for years and the food is wonderful. We've been coming regularly for years and the food and the service is what keeps us coming back.

Good place if you looking for proper chinese food!

Riverview Restaurant is a high-quality venue on the Thames at Wapping, and we frequently visit with friends and relatives and are never disappointed. The early-bird menu (up to 8pm) is a good deal, but go the extra mile and have the Crispy Duck, in which case the Set Menus are equally as good as they include the duck.

Good food; nice, cozy environment; spotless; attentive service.
