Really had a great time at Roka. First visit to this branch, and enjoyed the lunch buffet immensely. This was excellent value and the whole party will be returning
Fantastic food, very tentative with customer service, would recommend for any party size, any occasion. Very flexible whilst abiding my health policies!
Lively as always
We went for a birthday lunch. The food was delicious and the service was great! we really enjoyed it and will be back!
Great sunday selection with really good and fresh sushi selection. You can't go wrong, if you love japanese food, that's the place to go to enjoy endless top quality dishes.
Staff is very polite and helpful.
One of us took the lobster and it was really not tasty. This is the second time I tried the lobster, different dish, always disappointed. They happily changed it to another recommended dish. On the brighter side, the mushroom and rice hot pot was delicious!
The dessert boat is a bit underwhelming, it's just one pudding/cake per person, not really a selection. Quite a disappointment if you have a sweet tooth like me :(
Main meal was cold wouldn’t revisit
Great service, amazing food as always. the only downfall was it was extremely warm and my friend who was pregnant had to leave a couple of times to get some fresh air.
What a treat. Tasting menu was awesome. Service was spectacular and very relaxed environment. Nailed it!
One of best sushi places I have had, globally!
Excellent food, exemplary service
Had the taster menu £90 pp.
Superb but pricey but understandable
Will be back.
The staff were fabulous and offered us a lovely desert on them for our wedding anniversary which was a nice touch.
Beautiful food and and really helpful service.
Excellent value for money.
All very reasonably priced
It was wonderful! even though service was a bit slow The manager and our server were very kind and caring. Definitely very professional. Also I’d like to thank them for the nice birthday dessert plate setting. We didn’t even ask it but one of the servers over heard us saying that my colleague’s bday is in 3 days and they brought it end of the dinner!
Hugely disappointing experience all in all, considering the top prices and the location in the heart of Canary Wharf! The food was most sub-par, unimaginative, with ill-inspired combinations of ingredients and flavours, served in "ancient", worn out, scratched, chipped and ugly plates and bowls. We ordered the Premium Tasting Menu which cost £90 per person (no drink included). The portions were meagre, tiny!
The waiting service confused and confusing, with poor and superficial knowledge of the dishes on the menu. The sommelier also not very sharp on his knowledge of the available wines! The ice-cream scoops served as part of the dessert were uninspiredly placed on a small slab of ice, making the serving a chasing race against the slippery and small icy surface. The restaurant has no (proper) air conditioning, and as it got completely full by 8pm, the air became hot and stuffy. Also, the noise of hubbub from all tables, reflected by the surrounding wooden wall and ceiling pannels, made any normal conversation around the table impossible. No exaggeration.
Wonderful food and ambiance! Thank you for giving us the quite table as we requested.
Food atmosphere were totally fabulous, service was a little slow kept having to ask for drink top ups and to order dessert and plates were not charged during service. But can live with as the food more than makes up for it little expensive but not unreasonable I’d say what you expect for this kind of restaurant had the service been 5 star
A bit too expensive compared to a similar target restaurant; did not particularly like the vibe (‘corporate‘ feel) and neither the background music
First time visitor there, staff were very nice and friendly food very good and will definitely be coming back!
Our experience in Roka has been exceptional from start to finish. Amazing food served with an extremely professional service. A special thank to Samantha who made our evening perfect with her high professionally. Definitely worth to visit!
First time for Sunday brunch here - fabulous food & will definitely visit again - a little noisy but what do you expect for eat & drink for a fixed price menu.
Great place, amazing food, friendly and high standard staff! This is one of our favorite places in Canary Wharf. Definitely will be back with pleasure!!!
Solid menu. Great service. Signature Negroni. Thumbs up.
Great spot for instagramable food, but if you’re looking for anything with taste there are many less expensive places in London where you’ll be well accommodated.
Great service, fabulous food.
Very good value.
But, the design of this restaurant leads to an extremely noisy environment!
Overall, I have been many times and will return.
My favourite restaurant love coming here the food is always great
Absolutely love it here. Never fails to deliver. Reasonably priced lunch menu with great choice. Highly recommend.
While Roka wouldn’t be my every week choice of venue if you are looking to splash out then you could certainly do far worse.
Don’t let the set menu system put you off, staff are always eager and willing to explain things to those who look a little lost. While the £59 per person set menu I went for wasn’t cheap, it was the best £59 I’ve spent in a long time. I highly recommend the chicken stew. It’s really to die for. Our waiter said that two would be two much for two people, suggesting a lighter main to accompany. But really, I could have polished off both. And not eaten for the rest of the day. But that too would have been worth it.
Roka, at Canary Wharf anyway, doesn’t skimp on portions. Or on the starter buffet you can hit up as often as you like. I’d recommend you save room for dessert though. Really I do. Even if you don’t there will be enough wine flowing to ease the conversation until you can manage some more. On the whole, a great dining experience.
Our host was very helpful and attentive. Suggested nice options.
Lovely dinner and cocktails
We brought our baby and her grandparents to Roka for the weekend brunch to celebrate granny’s birthday. We had a wonderful time, the staff were very attentive, especially Mehdi, who saw that we had a baby and constantly checked in to make sure we were comfortable. Our baby really enjoyed playing in the children’s area too (which gave us a few moments of peace) and we would highly recommend the restaurant for families with infants / toddlers - do ask for a table in the lounge though as the main restaurant can be quite busy at the weekend. The selection of starters was also amazing and the entire table (including the baby!) was very happy with the food. We will be back!
We absolutely love Roka! A great night every time.
The service by our waiter Pawel was exceptional. He was so attentive and was always looking after me and my friends. We thoroughly enjoyed are evening and the service topped everything
Fantastic food, great wines/cocktails, excellent service, great atmosphere (Canary Wharf Chic!) and a lovely addition to our dessert as I had mentioned it was our anniversary. I have going at least annually for over 10years now - I love the place and will of course be back! Nice to see some of the same staff there by the way - must be a nice place to work as well. Anyway, keep it up guys!
Good efficient service nice clientele and lovely woman would definitely go again!!
Excellent value and my date loved it! The food is amazing and the staff really looked after us.
The service wasn’t great on Monday. We spent almost 3 hours dining at Roka with very poor service from the team. Furthermore the manager promised to come back to me by email, today is Wednesday and I haven’t heard anything back. We were waiting for the bill for over 20 minutes, questioned the sommelier, who asked if we want some more wine instead of bringing the bill. NB we had sake and cocktails that night, no wine...
Second time attending Roka and wasn’t disappointed. It’s a dream to dine here.
