10/10 would highly recommend. Amazing food & service
Amazing food and amazing service!! Beautiful place. I highly recommend the garlic bread for starters and the lamb cutlets for mains, absolutely divine. Will definitely be visiting again!
Great experience as always. Love this place and the food cannot be faulted 5🌟
The venue and the food was beautiful.
This is let down by scruffy looking waitresses wearing dirty white trainers who kept congregating next to our table to chat with their Co workers. This was quite uncomfortable!
The most shocking part of our visit was when our starters where served. My mother was unsure if she'd been served the right dish.. she cut into it, smelt it and realised it wasn't what she'd ordered. We called the waitress over to say we'd been served the wrong dish, she looked confused and went to check her sheet and realised she'd served these to the wrong table. She whipped them off us and took them to ANOTHER TABLE, after she'd seen that my Mom had cut Into this. Never mind during the covid pandemic, this is just not acceptable under any circumstances!
Our food once we'd got the right serving was beautiful.
Hadn’t visited for a while and decided to go for my partner’s birthday.
Starters were average, ‘scallops’ actually turned out to by a type of salad with raw finely slices scallops - Feedback given to waiter (though nothing was taken off bill).
Mains OK, steak a bit tough for a fillet (bad cut?), partners seafood pasta decent.
Deserts basic, nice but nothing special.
Overall the food is average to good but nothing special. Excellent ambience, service OK; given the above average pricing for a-la-carte weighed up against average food/service I would stick to set menus which are much more reasonable value overall.
There are much nicer restaurants in Manchester from a quality & service perspective if you’re willing to pay Rosso prices.
Starters was very bland, mains were ok but misses steak well under cooked. Poor service waiters stood around doing nothing took for ever to have empty plates taken never mind getting a drink. Used drug bags left on the side in the men’s toilets.
Service & the food was delicious would definitely recommended Rosso
Love, first time in Manchester. And we came to celebrate my coworkers birthday. We got the 3 entrée Sunday special and all 3 courses were amazing
Oustanding dining experience - at the one off treat end of the cost spectrum but well worth it
Lovely experience, polite staff, great cocktails and exquisite food as ever. Beautiful decor, never looks tired even after all these years of dining there.
10/10 would go back in a heartbeat.amazing service
Fantastic! Overall great experience would love to come back!
Great venue and very good food but some of the service was extremely disappointing. At the end of the night staff could not find our coats so they told us to go and find them ourselves! Very poor. When I raised the issue with the manager he was really unhelpful. He dismissively told me "what do you want me to do" then wandered off. Thanks a bunch! Also, if you are told that you've only got your table for two hours make sure you keep an eye on the clock because they are very strict. Our bill suddenly appeared on the table when we were midway through our desserts and we were hurried out. Shame the manager wasn't in a similar rush to help us with the cloakroom blunder.
Very good food for a good price. Fantastic ambience
It was an incredible atmosphere with amazing service and the most delicious food, we would definitely return again abs hope to in the near future, amazing for special occasions
Fab but like many other restaurants in Manchester, loads of people on their phones and young women taking multiples selfies in the toilets 🙄
Amazing food and amazing service. I requested for a booth as it was a special occasion and they definitely pulled it all out the bag! Thank you so much for making my day beautiful.
Lovely meal and evening out for our anniversary. A slight hiccup with one of the starters but it was quickly off the bill and the rest of the three course each were great. Also quite a great choice for someone doing veggie January. Not the cheapest place but there are lots of options at lots of prices and in the end, you get what you pay for. Recommended.
Lovely food, lovely drinks and great atmosphere
Delicious food in a beautiful setting, lovely evening
Told us that lunch was only on Thursday and Friday's, when their website and lunch menu specifically states lunch is on Monday to Thursday between 12-6pm. Says on both the menu and website but was not allowed to have lunch.
Hi, thank you for your visit. Our lunch menu is available Monday to Thursday (12:00-18:00) and Friday to Saturday (12:00-16:00). We are currently closed Monday-Wednesday for lunch which is the reason you are unable to book. Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly on 0161 832 1400.
Beautiful decor and food was lovely!! Very nice place
Lovely meal but wouldn’t rush back. Lacked the finishing touches, for the price you pay you would expect the staff to maybe go the extra mile. Our table water was placed on the table and the staff just walked off not asking if there was anything else we would like whilst Other restaurants would usually pour it for you. It was also my partners birthday and no extra gesture was done to celebrate this. Even after spending nearly £400 on a meal
Beautiful meal, we all had the Sunday lunch menu, the lamb was cooked to perfection all enjoyed it, good atmosphere for a my sons birthday meal
Food is exceptional one of the best restaurants in Manchester & Leeds if not the best. Third visit standard is always superb, alot of choice would defiently recommend on date night or with friends and family
Not good at all. Service was so bad. We were at 20 stories the day before and that is on another level
Thinking that we would get an experience that would be higher quality and greater formality we went to Rosso to celebrate my son’s 20th birthday and our 32nd anniversary on Saturday 15th January. Unfortunately, the service we received did not meet our expectations and we left the place with not pleasant memories.
At 7pm we went in and while I was still standing trying to take my coat off, the waiter was already there to ask for orders as if came to a fast-food restaurant.
Quality and taste of the food was good but service not so good. Very fast and no attention to detail. Brasserie type casual service, definitely not fine dining. During the two hours we were there, empty bottles, glasses were not removed. A piece of desert supposed to be birthday cake without a candle! For things like ice, tissues or clean plates, we had to ask 2 or 3 times.
I have been to Rosso many and many times and this was the worst experience. Maybe because it was Saturday, don’t know. It was very noisy and not ideal for fine-dining more for clubbing maybe. Gent’s restroom is another point I didn’t like, terribly food smelling.
Overall we did not like it there this time. I would still go there for the nice food but probably for lunch.
The restaurant itself was really nice, however the food was really poor. Completely average very plain pasta sauce I could have bought in a jar from Aldi and extremely small serving of lacklustre tortellini
Good menu selection.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Food very good and hot.
Exceptional food and service, all my requests were met and we had the best time celebrating my sisters celebratory graduation meal.
Relaxed atmosphere, tables were well spaced out and I can confidently say it’s always a guaranteed good time at Rosso 👌🏽
Food and service was Devine as always x
Had a meal for my son for his birthday with his god parents! Was a nice setting and not too loud. Lovely waitresses and a cute birthday desert for him also!
The ambience is absolutely lovely but the servers are very poor. They did not allow us to go much time between drinks or meals but they all looked very sad with no smiles. The food was below average for what you’d get from a regular Italian let alone one priced this high! We expected a lovely evening full of delicious food but it was not the case - would not recommend at all.
portions were very small, felt like we were treated differently because we were younger than the other people there (didn’t ask to take our jackets but did for everyone else). charged us £5 for the water that we didn’t know we would have been charged for. service charge was way too expensive for what the service actually was.
The most beautiful and crispy salmon I’ve had. Moist langoustines. Everything was perfectly seasoned and there wasn’t a long wait between courses. I will definitely be returning regularly. Best calamari I’ve had!
Food was good.
However, door/security staff very rude and unprofessional.
Made an issue about dress code when other people attending the restaurant where dressed in hoodies, tracksuits and one female in gym style vest tops which is severely a contradiction in itself.
Needs to be advised to stop being a jobs worth as it ruins the experience, not everyone wants to over dress on a Sunday, its a day to relax and dress down a little n be comfortable.
Service and staff were second to none, even the bouncers on the door were extremely friendly and made us laugh. Food was amazing. Would highly recommend 🙌🏽
We were seated 25 minutes after our booking time (21:30), the lady who seated us was very rude and unapologetic. The ravioli was undercooked and very oily, overall bad experience.
Overall very enjoyable - excellent food for every course, exemplary service at table only slightly let down by bar staff with lack of effort on Old Fashions - admittedly a time consuming cocktail to make but don't do half a job
Food good staff and service very average, staff not particularly welcoming or friendly apart from the security on the doors who were lovely and very welcoming.
